Eating out in Australia ranges from beachside takeaways to hatted dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. If you have dietary needs, most kitchens will adapt a dish if you ask. Licensed venues serve alcohol; BYO places let you bring a bottle for a small corkage fee. Tipping is appreciated but never expected.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amโ12 am. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Coopers Hotel on (02) 9550 3461; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, coopershotel.com.au.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 1,386 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Newtown is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Getting around Newtown is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy centres, and most suburban shops have their own car park. Public transport and ride-share apps such as Uber and DiDi operate across New South Wales's larger cities.

This used to be a great pub a place to laugh a place to meet your mates but refusing to put the Friday night footy on and instead playing mlb and American football reruns after being asked several times if they can change the channel - either Jeromy responses of โyesโ โone secโ โlet me ask my managerโ โwill doโ 35 minutes later still no results Disappointing is an understatement

We just stopped in for a pint while walking around Newtown for some shopping. Love the open bay windows to watch the world go by while youโre enjoying a drink.

The drinks were great value, we liked that the f1 was on. Lots of dogs which is amazing. Live music was very nice, great vibe. We went on a Sunday so the roast was only $25 with a whole lamb shank, great deal. Good deals available evry day of the week.

Had the $14.00 chicken snitzel with chips. Salad and sauce (I got Diane) from the Wednesday specials food menu + Carlton dry (absolute steal and worth every cent!). Upstairs outdoor eating area was nice and sunny, beer was cold and food was very good, fresh, tasty and filling for the price. Food came relatively quickly, smelt and tasted delicious and was well presented. Staff on duty were engaging, friendly, attentive and helpful when approachwd for food/drink orders,.as was the staff member at the main bar downstairs. Close to public transport (bus stops are near by , parking may be limited) and centrally located in vibrant Newtown with a variety of independent, local shops nearby. Recommend and well worth the visit.
