I visited the tattoo shop today for a personalised design and was very grateful that the team could accommodate me as a walk-in. They took the timeto sketch my idea, and the final design turned out beautifully. I'm genuinely very happy with the artwork, and the artist did an amazing job. Unfortunately, the experience itself was disappointing. As this was my first tattoo, I made it clear to the staff that I was nervous and unsure how I would react. The artist, Stef, didn't make me feel comfortable or supported throughout the appointment. I tried to engage in conversation a few times, but she seemed quite disengaged. Because the tattoo was on my lower back, which is a very sensitive area, my leg would occasionally flinch involuntarily. I explained that this was something I couldn't control, especially as it was my first tattoo. Despite this, I was repeatedly told that my leg flinching was irritating. At one point, she joked that the price should increase because of it, and later suggested that if I came back for another tattoo, I Should choose a different location so it wouldn't be as “difficult." Libby designed the most amazing piece for me that was so special and personal to me in such a difficult time in my life. The compassion, empathy and all over kindness she had for me whilst performing her craft will forever be what I think of when I look at my tattoo. I highly recommend Libby if you're looking for not only a perfect tattoo but a perfect experience too.

Libby is the tattoo kween. The best artist in Sydney when I met her and having multiple prior tatttoos I knew I had found the one chick to do the rest. Great chat, no stress and killer dress style you will be in the right hands with Libby. I Have her booked In for regular tattoos on a fortnightly basis. she’s best and being in a creative field with super high expectations i leave happy every time and book in more. She has become my mate and part time therapist. Haha couldn’t recommend this artistic legend more… all the team in the illustrated man are super happy and friendly with great banter it’s a great place. Benny

Chuck designed my very first tattoo, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The design came out exactly like the reference—precise, detailed, and beautifully done. What impressed me even more was how gentle he was throughout the process; the pain was minimal, which made the whole experience much more comfortable. He is truly a professional, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for high-quality work.

One of the worst tattoo experiences I’ve ever had. The photos speak for themselves. What I asked for and what I received are completely different. There was a serious lack of attention to detail, poor line work, and no care taken to match the reference image I provided. The ants were meant to be clean, sharp, and realistic…. instead they came out blurry, uneven, poorly shaped, and inconsistent, with proportions that are completely off. It honestly looks rushed and amateur. This is a permanent tattoo, not a sketch, and the quality I received is nowhere near what you’d expect from a professional studio, especially one in the Sydney CBD. No proper checking, no refinement, no pride in the work. What a waste of my time and my energy… & now i have to fix this… how money hungry do you think this place is? I think thats all they want. I’m genuinely disappointed and disgusted with the outcome. I now have to live with this or pay to fix it elsewhere. I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about detail or quality. Good luck with their business, they deserve nothing
