They do well in encouraging budding and emerging artists. Lots of opportunity to learn and meet other creatives. Great programs for the community. we love taking the grandkids to see the gallery exhibitions.

This is a great arts centre engaging the local community. Great workshops available for kids and adults. Exhibitions that are always worth a look even if it’s just for a 10 minute twirl through the rooms. Casual and welcoming environment.

I went to the Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre after hearing the talented artist Wendy Murray was having training courses at a pop-up studio called "The Poster Centre" inspired by Garage Graphix, a legendary print workshop active in the eighties and nineties. I was fortunate to learn about the screen-printing process as well as creating my own poster using 1960s Letrapress sheets to transfer lettering and images to a poster. If you are interested in learning this art, then enrol in a course because Wendy is leaving overseas and her last training session is on 31 August.
