A wonderful bookstore with a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the visit even more enjoyable. I had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it!

The other reviews here really beat me to it, however as a book store connoisseur I’m comforted by its consistency and just want to add my two cents: I just want to say this book store really is a gem in Sydney, I’m grateful to the family for bringing all children and adults to the forefront of everything cinema, literature, and music. In an age where culture is becoming increasingly digitalised, to be able to see TITLE’s collection of DVDs, vinyls, and large variety of books is truly refreshing — so I can understand why some of them are particularly anal about touchy touchy and flashy flashy behaviour… HOWEVER, yeah I dooooo need to reinforce that there is an issue perhaps outdated even of the staff overseeing their customers’ behaviour to a slightly excessive extent. I remember coming here a few weeks ago and having been followed upstairs, downstairs, and all around if not physically then by the lady’s eyes the entirety of my visit. Whilst I get that it is a security measure, it feels uncomfortable for guests who are most likely just there to browse and appreciate the art. I discovered the store by accident and was greeted by a lovely lady named Megan . I looked around and made a mental note to return . I did and the young man (who was too busy on his phone ) then decided to keep wandering around ask if I and all were happy browsing as we already doing . But he kept coming back and repeating the questions and became annoying . Upon making purchase I was asked if I wanted a bag at 80cents extra . Then upon payment do you want digital receipt . I said no to both but wanted paper receipt . WE do not do that . Do you want to sign up as a member ? $10.00 sign up fee and I get a tote bag and 10% discount . I declined on all as that is crap service and offer all round . This is and will be my first and last purchase at the store .

I was taking pictures of the bookstore itself because I loved the atmosphere and vibe. However, the owner(old lady) shouted and embarrassed me saying it was impolite and not nice to take pictures—even though I was only photographing the bookstore and book covers. I didn’t take the inside book at all. I just liked the vibe of the place that’s it. And who and what are you mentioning “being polite” to customers? I think you should be more polite to customers. I felt that this interaction was unnecessarily rude and made me feel unwelcome and unsafe(No surprising over 20 customers already left the review pointing the rudeness of the staff and owner.) If photography is prohibited, it would help to have clear signs so customers know the rules. A bookstore should feel safe and inviting, not intimidating. Unfortunately, this experience has left me reluctant to visit again. The bookstore has a beautiful atmosphere, but I hope the owner considers how interactions with customers affect their comfort and safety.
