Great vibes at the bar and cosy upstairs dining. Gets quite busy on weekend nights and waiters missed a couple of things like olive oil dip for bread and frangelico for the affogato. Delicious food nonetheless. Winter set menu provided value but not sure if it would still provide same value if food was full price

Had the most amazing time at my bday, food and wine were divine, the people who work there seem to really love their craft, which makes it an amazing experience asking for recommendations and so on. Everything was excellent, shout out to the panna cotta, best of my life. Also to Alessandro and Natalino (and the chef obvs), who made me and my friends feel special on such an important occasion for me, by always tending to our table with care and presence, even if the room was crowded and they were super busy. Thank you, will be going back soon!!

The curvaceous 1950s Marie-Louise Salon facade hides a textbook pannacotta that wobbles like a breast. An amarena fabbri cherry nipple and a circlet of English custard contribute to this milky and silky dome being the best pannacotta ever. And if you make the effort to get to Vineria Luisa before the end of July, you can eat it as part of a half-price three course menu ($62.50/person). Alessandro Pavoni’s (Ormeggio) winter special is a lot of food, especially if you cough up the fifteen buck surcharge to try his much lauded lasagne. With silky fresh pasta sheets and an obscene amount of pork, beef and veal ragù, this seven-layer beauty numbers among Sydney’s best. They throw in warm bread rolls, fancy olive oil, and slightly overdressed greens, so all you need to do is pick your poison and plot your course through the one-page menu. Wafer-thin wagyu makes the carpaccio Cipriani your best entree pick. Tonnarelli cacio e pepe is well-executed but we overloaded on pasta between it, the lasagne and a tasty Roman oxtail and wagyu shank ragù. Tiramisu isn’t usually my favourite way to finish but here it’s elevated with crunchy cocoa nibs with light sponge layers not saturated in marsala

@vinerialuisa is a gorgeous Newtown venue with classic décor and an intimate upstairs dining room. a wonderful place for celebrations or a girls night out perfect tiny bites of Chicken liver paté, orange marmalade, Piedmont hazelnut, served on crostini $16 was the best way to start this fantastic dinner, this was rich yet light and had layers of flavours that developed with each nibble. Charcoal Fremantle WA octopus, leek and potato puree, Amalfi lemon, hazelnut $26 cooked to absolute perfection, juicy and had a deep profile that was wrapped lovingly in that warm puree. Culaccia premium prosciutto, pickled dwarf green peaches, Sardinian flat bread $29 I think this is genuinely the best prosciutto I have ever had in my life, I mean just look at that beautiful bright pink colouring! the pickled peaches provided wonderful tangy sweetness that worked so nicely with the cuts! Fregola alla Vignarola, zucchini flowers, yellow cherry tomatoes, green spring vegetables $31 a real surprise of a dish, we did not expect it to look so beautiful but taste so fresh and creamy. I loved the mix of fregola pasta and the peas, and all the little spring veggies worked great together. really recomme

A random search for good Lasagna lead us here. This place is a gem! Food was brilliant and wine/gin list was large. Highly recommend the Tonnarelli alla rigaglie & Lasagna, and well for me the Sicilian almond Gelato was ridiculously good. Ambiance was inviting and warm. The service was top notch, suggestions were great and he was very attentive. Will be back.
