1.Do not under any circumstances, approach this charity for assistance, they will not help you, the staff & volunteers , will verbally abuse you, and will physically man handle you off the property, and will call the police on you for tresspassing. If you have recently visited wayside and attended with children, please be aware that members of staff and some volunteers may have reported you for child neglect and abuse. ( Wayside is a mandatory reporter) Those who are registered clients with children who have recently attended events need to be aware, you may have been reported for child harm. Recently. Overheard staff discussing reporting clients and guests who have attended wayside events with children and registered clients that have minor children in Thier care or associate with children to family and community services ( FACS) for child harm. Please keep your children safe, and keep them away from all future charity events. Other charities are going to be doing the same. I'm a volunteer for several charities, please note I have reported this behaviour to NSW police. Please note that this is a throw away account, I just wanted to inform you.

I have been attendng The Wayside Chapel for about 15 years now and I love the place. When I needed their services, they were kind and compassionate and dealt with my needs without judgement and even suggested extra services for me that I was not aware of. The staff and volunteers are kind people who genuinely care for each and every visitor there. At Wayside you are not just another bum to wipe or a nose to wipe, you are a person and that means so much to those who someone who is down on their luck and needs a bit of love. For anyone who is looking for inspiration in life or something to fill their days, they have a range of activities that change daily and there is something for everyone. There is also "mob space" for Indigenous people to feel safe, hang out or get assistance" and "women's space" for the same reasons. They also have a low-cost cafe where everyone is welcome in the most expensive meal is just $4. The food is cooked by a qualified chef and is always very good. On sundays they have their very popular sunday roast which is just $4.50. You couldn't make it at home for that price! Their op shop is fantastic. There's always weird and wonderful items to buy at affordab

We are All loved visitors at the wayside chapel. lovely cheap meal when you're running short of money, great op shop, welcoming service at 11 on Sunday. If you're local and lonely or from out of town there's activities and help if needed. And if you have money to support the Wayside, or just want to volunteer or need a person to talk to, it's a safe place. I am so grateful for Wayside.
