About Woollahra Bookshop
One of Sydney’s oldest independent bookstores, Woollahra Bookshop began life as Lesley McKay’s in Double Bay in 1968. For more than half a century, they’ve been connecting readers with their next favourite book.
Step inside this little hidden gem in Woollahra village to find an eclectic, thoughtfully-curated collection unlike anywhere else in Sydney.
Owner Michael Eyes and his small team selects each title with care. Alongside the latest bestsellers, you’ll find an exceptional range of history, literary and crime fiction, cookbooks, coffee table books and children’s classics.
Known as ‘Sydney’s favourite little bookshop,’ they are open seven days a week. Bring your four-legged companion and take in the art on the walls while you browse.

Great store! I ordered a book online from Woollahra Bookshop (it was also cheaper than the big online retailers) at 11:30pm, at 8:30am the next morning I’ve received an email and a text message confirming it had been posted. It arrives the next day with lots of protection in perfect condition. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic bookshop! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They took the time to help me find exactly what I was looking for and made the whole experience enjoyable. The store is well organised, has a great selection of books, and creates a warm atmosphere for book lovers. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers. I highly recommend this bookshop and will definitely be coming back again!

An absolute gem of a bookstore where the staff are so utterly well read and they all love to talk all things books. I have shopped here for years and love that it's my local. there's nothing better than a well stocked independent bookstore.
