I had a very unpleasant experience at Woolworths today (27/04/2026 around 12:30 PM) at the self-checkout area. There was a staff member (a middle-aged Asian woman, shorter height) who was extremely rude β€” not only to us, but also to other customers and even her colleagues. We had several issues with scanning items and needed assistance, and each time she approached us with visible irritation and spoke in a harsh, blaming manner, insisting it was our fault even though we were following the instructions correctly. It was clear from the screen that the issue was not on our side. Customer service like this is unacceptable. I understand retail can be stressful, but there is no excuse for being disrespectful and unprofessional. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the situation.

have been waiting for my order for the last 35 minutes but they have not responded to me. I am still waiting here and I do not see any employee. They have very bad service towards Uber.

Great experience at Woolworths Balgowlah today! The store manager, Birendra, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to assist me and made sure I found everything I needed. I really appreciate that level of customer service. Also, the undercover parking lot is huge with plenty of spaces, which makes shopping here so convenient. I will definitely be back!

Just incase two of you guys in direct to boot read this review. I want to tell you guys you need to get proper training how to speak , how to control anger and how to behave with customer/ uber driver. I know you guys came through easy reference process without training and interview. You are working in direct to boot rayn and one nepali guy . You should know the meaning which means staff bring your packed order directly to your car's boot (trunk) for loading. I have taken so many direct to boot order from so many different woolworths but this 2 guys literally don't have manner. They tell uber driver to do their work. We are paid for delivering goods not for fixing your crate . You guys are paid for arranging crate, making ready order , delivery to boot. Thats simple. Uber driver didn't get paid for late processing and over that you tell them to work your part of work. Are you guys serious lazy guys. You guys take more then 20 minutes for one order that's the worst direct to boot service in Sydney. Lastly you guys threat me to meet outside store that will go legal straight. Know what you are speaking.

worst woolworths ive been to which is impressive as the majority of them suck too, just not this much Pros: its a shop where you can buy food Cons: aisles always blocked, music is gross, signage & sightlines absent, absudly long aisles, and much more... This store is a complete farce and they should close it and donate all the food to starving children. In all seriousness this place is so unpleasant that i am never going back and I'm telling everyone how weak your product is. Id urge owners/management to do better but i doubt it matters to them, its clear they have no reason to care and i don't blame them at all haha.
