This WooTea δΊ”ζ‘θ™Ÿ (wutonghao) is in Chinatown at a corner of an intersection, so there is a lot of foot traffic. They’re originally from Taiwan. The drinks here seem really good. I wanted to try a lot of them, but I only got two for now. The almond jelly is good, and I want to try their brown sugar jelly. Some of the drinks come with standard ice and sugar, so you cannot make adjustments.

Extremely disappointing practices. Every drink is filled 25% with unfiltered tap water. Every drink is more than $8.5. Can you please confirm that using tap water used to clean the shaker is meant to go into every drink being made? Is this the so-called world of outstanding tea? Does the tea come out of the water tap?

I’m honestly obsessed with the buckwheat flavour. Here’s what’s on the lineup: - Buckwheat Tea with special oatmeal toppings - Buckwheat Milk Tea with honey pearl toppings - Buckwheat Tea Latte (caffeine-free) with almond jelly It’s super unique, nutty, and comforting without being overpowering. Definitely one of those flavours you didn’t know you needed until you tried it. If you enjoy cozy, toasty drinks, this one is worth trying. I’d recommend the sugar level to be at 50% for it not to be too sweet.

I recently visited WooTea to try their new buckwheat tea series and it was a really interesting change from the usual bubble tea flavours. We ordered the buckwheat tea latte, buckwheat milk tea and the classic buckwheat tea, all with honey pearls. The buckwheat flavour is quite unique β€” slightly nutty with a roasted aroma that makes the drinks feel warm and comforting rather than overly sweet. The honey pearls were a great topping as well and added a nice chewy texture. I’d recommend reducing the sugar level to around 50% since the drinks can already lean on the sweeter side, especially with toppings. When we visited around midday the store was already packed with customers, so it seems like the new series is pretty popular. The staff were efficient despite the rush and the drinks came out fairly quickly. Overall a great spot in Haymarket if you’re looking to try something a little different from the typical milk tea options. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy roasted tea flavours. Ordered the taro ball fresh milk tea, no sugar no ice. The tea was good yet the taro balls were a bit soggy. Service was good, the staff help me with the paper straw as I failed a couple times.
