This tour Istanbul to Venice , a wedding anniversary celebration was an exceptional 5 star experience in every aspect. Right from the professional guiding of Dr Lauren Mackay and her delightful local Guides, to the standard of hotels, their location, the historic sites we saw, from the astonishing to the almost anonymous ( for conventional tourist like us) !! Likewise the handpicked dinner venues added to the “ specially spoiled “ tone of the entire tour. Our companions too seemed handpicked for their warmth, curiosity and generosity. It really was one of ( if not the best) holiday we’ve had and now fully understand why so many of our companions were multiple returning customers of academy travel . Highly recommended. We’re hooked!

The Academy Travel team are fabulous! I have enjoyed 3 of their tours and intend taking many more. Their tour leaders and local guides are exceptional. Knowledgeable and great fun to be around. The meals and hotels are excellent at showcasing the traditional delights of the tour country. Academy also went above and beyond in providing me with invaluable assistance in the initial days of the Iran war. Helping me, over a weekend, to quickly rebook all of my flights to minimise any travel disruption. I would have been lost without them. Definitely 5 star service!.

I travelled to Egypt with Academy Travel and would wholeheartedly recommend them. The itinerary attracted me: good length, more sites than mentioned by other companies, OUTSTANDING archeologist in Lucia Gahlin, perfect accommodations, good scheduling (neither rushed nor lagging). Voluntary lectures every evening, always happy to answer questions, cheerful demeanour. Great experience on every level.

Springtime in Paris , with Academy travel was a residential , so it was so good to unpack , relax and totally enjoy this beautiful city . This tour went beyond my expectations, ( certainly not my first with this company 😍) fabulous leaders , great Itinerary , lots to learn and see . Enjoy some of my photos just a very small glimpse of what I saw. 😍

We recently did the Academy Travel 'Rome Study Tour' (had wanted to do it before Covid). It was amazing! The accommodation was very central to the Monti district, handy for public transport, laundry services and great eating options. Our Tour Leaders were great. The daily briefings, outings, historical site visits, churches, museums, were all very interesting and engaging. This tour really explores and picks apart all the various layers of Rome's history, from ancient Romans through to Italian Unity and Fascism. If you love Rome and want to get more intimate with the city I would thoroughly recommend doing a comprehensive and focused tour such as this.
