I had a disappointing experience at Akar Meat Shop. When I asked Mariam for a receipt, she did not respond verbally and waved her hand at me instead. I felt this was not a polite or professional way to communicate with a customer. I hope the team can focus on respectful and clear communication with customers.

The meat is good, but business hours are a suggestion and employees will close up shop when they feel like it. This picture was taken at 5.30pm on Thursday when their closing hours on Thursday are 6pm. Service is also a hit or miss. If you're lucky you'll get someone decent and polite. If you aren't, you'll get someone - like I did - who will stare at you while you're waiting in line, only to just look away without calling you up for your turn. This place needs to seriously get it together especially with its business hours. This isn't the first time this has happened and it's ridiculous.

We get it bbq kofta today to serve with family ,it has too much fat that even doesn’t stick well and too much smoke ,I been regular customer for that shop but bbq kofta I didn’t expect that…

I was over charged. When I pointed it out, instead of checking or correcting, the response was dismissive.I’m sure she made a mistake and charged price for a different item, but didn’t want to admit and correct, I didn’t have the energy to argue over a few dollars.

Cannot express how great the service and people were ! Very welcoming staff ! And service even better ! Turned up and ordered two kgs of kibbeh and they made that so quickly ! Grateful for the help today ! THE BEST IN THE AREA HANDS DOWN !!

Bought 5 tomahawk today 3 hours ago. Great service by a very lovely lady. She deserves 5 star. Because of her effort and service I am still choosing 3 stars to be fair. $45/kg I spent and one of the steaks was in a very bad condition. The owner and the person responsible to get rid of outdated meat. Don’t hospitalize your customers. I came from far distance or I would have gone back to the store. Refer to the photos uploaded.
