Was hoping to do a transfer from my anz account to my account at another bank. Came in the Chatswood branch and was told I have to make an appointment to do it. The teller in the branch only can do the transfer within ANZ accounts. ???? Serious?!!!! Who will come in a branch to do a anz transfer??!! The teller sitting behind the counter made a funny smell when he heard my request. Avoid ANZ!!!!!!!

I really hope Nuno Matos or someone in the head office on Pitt Street read this! Again, it's the people who make the difference. AI and technology may help cutting cost and improving efficiency, but it's the human factor who can break barriers and grow the business. Being in the banking and financial industry for 35 years myself, I must say human factor is still crucial in brand awareness and growth! It's my third visit to the branch for the KYC. This time, I must give credit to the staff, Miss Alice Wang. In short: Attitude 10/10 Product knowledge: 9.99 Attention to detail: 9.99 Problem solving skills:9.99 Professionalism: 9.99 Accountability:9.99 Throughout the process, she diligently helped me to go through every step and explain to me. I went back a few days later for follow up, she found out the issues involved and sent an email to other departments concerned to solve my problem. While the other male staff on that day asked her don't wasting too much time on a client, she promised me to follow up my query. After a few days, I received my new card and my problem was solved. The main reason I recommend her is that she proactively investigates the problem and solves it.

Staff allowed other customers to cut ahead of me & when they finally bothered to call my name, the manager Bo Wang, hung up the phone his employee was using to call customer service & said I'll just have to wait longer for my money that the bank is holding. They need to fire that manager, get someone better & hire people that understand & speak proper English.

Extremely disappointing experience at the ANZ Chatswood branch. I attempted to deposit over $200 in coins using the coin‑deposit ATM, only for the machine to display “transaction unsuccessful.” A staff member advised me to complete a transaction dispute form and wait up to 28 days for a response. It has now been well over a month with no update, and each time I follow up, staff are unable to provide any meaningful assistance—simply suggesting I contact my own bank because they “don’t count the coins themselves.” At this point, my money has effectively disappeared, and there seems to be no accountability or clear process for resolving ATM errors. It is unacceptable to operate a coin‑deposit machine without the ability to troubleshoot issues or guarantee that customers will be reimbursed when the machine fails. I strongly recommend avoiding this ATM.
