Eating out in Australia ranges from beachside takeaways to hatted dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. If you have dietary needs, most kitchens will adapt a dish if you ask. Licensed venues serve alcohol; BYO places let you bring a bottle for a small corkage fee. Tipping is appreciated but never expected.

Chatswood is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Australian addresses list the street number, suburb, state abbreviation and postcode, and Chatswood follows the same pattern; a number like 2/411 means unit 2 at number 411. I purchased the Bluefin tuna belly sold as sashimi grade. Because of the location under Chatswood Chase, I trusted the quality β but I was genuinely shocked and extremely disappointed. I did notice there were one-star reviews before buying. I should have read them more carefully. Many of those reviews raised concerns about freshness, and now I completely understand why. This product should not be sold as sashimi. The connective tissue was excessive, the texture was unpleasant, and the overall quality was far below what any reasonable customer would expect for raw consumption. I could not eat it as sashimi at all. I even tried cooking it, and it still had a strong, unpleasant fishy flavour. This is not simply a preparation issue β it points to a serious quality and freshness problem. Selling fish of this standard as sashimi is unacceptable. If I could give zero stars, I would. (You can clearly see the white connective tissue in the photo. This is sinew, which is typically found in lower-grade tuna cuts, not in premium otoro intended for sashimi. This texture makes it unsuitable for sushi consumption β it does not break down when chewed and instead becomes increasingly unpleasa

Been a customer for quite sometime since it first opened for its quality seafood and good service until today. What an unpleasant experience being served by someone with attitude and not knowing the price of the fish and had to request repeatedly for double-checking the price as the price was much higher to what I saw when I walked past. Eventually he was corrected by his colleagues, and then offended by me saying dont take me for a ride. And he went off his nuts! Unbelievable. Know your job and do it well and this would not have happened.

She told us salmon is the same price with kingfish, it was $39.something so we pre ordered one whole 2-3kg sashimi quality salmon for the following week. But what we got was King ora salmon which is $50+ per kg which she never mentioned to us. It was filleted, skinned off already. I told her that she said $39something same as kingfish and she said she didnβt!! Really annoying. I was really upset but my husband and I didnβt want to ruin our special dinner so I just bought it expecting it tastes better cuz more expensive. We opened the bag once we arrived home, it was really badβ¦ reallllly bad. Flash was all broken and mushy. pin boning skill was reallyβ¦ bad. I see them most of times I passed there, how their skill is.. If someone unskilled or under training did this, Itβs still annoying cuz I paid , but I would try to understand but the lie and acting she did to us made me really upset.

First time buying fish at this new store. The shop is very clean and well presented. The red snapper today was very fresh and at a great price. They offered complimentary cleaning and filleting the fish too. Very friendly service.
