This local Chinese restaurant is well known for its fresh seafood, and it definitely delivers on quality. The seafood was the highlight of our meal beautifully cooked, fresh, and full of natural flavour. You can really taste the difference, especially in the fish and prawns. The yum cha selection was solid, but it’s the seafood that truly stands out and keeps people coming back.

A popular spot for Yum Cha on weekends. During our visit, the queue ended up going out the door onto the street so booking is recommended. We arrived 2 minutes before our booking time and were seated immediately. The seating times on weekends are 60 minutes but the food comes quick with friendly trolley staff. Ordering a beverage or a specific dish that hasn’t rolled around yet can be chaotic but this is half the fun with most Yum Cha experiences. We found the pricing to be quite reasonable and on par with other popular Yum Cha establishments in Sydney. The restaurant is also very transparent with this by placing a price list on every table.

Extremely poor quality food here, the seafood texture is mushy as though it has been in the tank for years. The fish tasted like nothing, lobster was so small and they charged per lobster not per weight. Lobster heavily coated with a lot of starch to hide the fact that there was little to no meat inside. The fried veggie had a lot of sugar in it. Chicken was tough, not smooth, no moisture extremely dry. Come if you haven't had poor quality food for a long time because you can't really find anything worse. Note if you dont trust this review, look at the fish and lobster tank and the murky water they live in, they are barely visible because of how polluted the water is. Check water visibility before you walk in here.

The food was ok. There was a serious lack of coordination between the serving and the kitchen staff. We particularly requested to have the lobster first as entree, but we ended up having it the towards the end of the dinner. We were offered a small table for 4 of us and was told the place was fully booked, but it was their self-wish only.

Looked at Reddit to find the best yum cha in the area. Lovely welcoming staff, good central location. Food: - calamari lacked a bit of seasoning but was still good - prawn rice noodle, was nice but not fresh. - soy sauce noodle came wrapped in cling wrap, was cold and definitely not fresh. As the service was great and fast we cant complain too much. The price however, is akin to the highest quality top end options in Australia - at around $75 a head, totaly unacceptable range. Typically across the range of yum cha around the country i expect: $30 a head for average food $40 a head for good food $50 a head for great food. So i was anticipating based on my order for about $35-45 a head. Wont be going again, suggest finding alternate choices in the area based on price vs quality.
