Bella Vista at North Head is one of those places that reminds you how good simple Italian food can be when it’s made with care. From the moment we arrived, the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings set the tone for a fantastic meal. The absolute highlight was the cannoli. They were, without question, the best I’ve ever had. The shells were perfectly crisp, the filling was light, creamy, and not overly sweet, making them completely irresistible. If you visit, they’re an absolute must-order. The homemade tiramisu was another standout. It had the perfect balance of rich mascarpone, coffee, and cocoa, tasting fresh and authentic rather than overly heavy. Among the savoury dishes, the pappardelle ragù was superb, with silky fresh pasta coated in a deeply flavoured, slow-cooked sauce that was comforting and satisfying. The salad was equally impressive, fresh, vibrant, and beautifully dressed, providing the perfect contrast to the richer dishes. The service was friendly and welcoming, allowing us to enjoy the meal at a relaxed pace without ever feeling rushed. Highly recommend to anyone passing through or looking for something to do! A beautiful location with a delightful menu. The staff were very helpful and kind. Our food was delicious and well served. There are various lookouts just a short walk away, with parking available across the road for just $5 per day. Thank you all so much, we had the most stunning lunch and service-the best I’ve had in a long time. Ps: th Cremino was to die for!

Brilliant! Stopped here with visitors from overseas for brunch with no booking but they squeezed us in. Service from all the staff was pleasant and efficient, the menu is interesting and the dishes we had were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and well priced. I loved the chilli eggs with salsa matcha and chilli threads. The view is delightful and to top it all, there was a free-range echidna feeding along the entry path. Bella Vista nailed it for me. I wish it was my local cafe!

I’ve been living in Sydney for two weeks now, and this was my favourite dining experience so far. It was a lovely surprise after our morning hike at North Head. The staff was so friendly and the food was incredible. The King Fish Crudo is a 10/10, not to mention the view. Many gluten free options as well! Definitely worth the visit. Perfect stop after a hike and before hitting the beach!
