Celebrating 31 years in Bondi, Brown Sugar Bondi Restaurant is a local neighbourhood bistro tucked away on Curlewis Street, one block back from Bondi Beach. Evenings from Wednesday to Sunday are candlelit and intimate, while weekends invite guests to linger over a long lunch, or a glass of wine or cocktail in the sunny outdoor alfresco area. Brown Sugar is all about hand‑made, traditional dishes with influences from the Mediterranean. The menu is seasonal - built around the finest locally sourced produce. Our service is warm, attentive and genuinely personable, and we take pride in making each guest feel cared for and truly special, from the moment they arrive to the final goodbye.

Brown Sugar is a true gem in Bondi! I’ve been visiting this spot for years and absolutely love it - you genuinely can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I took a friend here recently for her birthday, and we had an incredible three-course meal. The atmosphere is small and intimate, and the service and staff are always wonderful. Plus, the fact that they allow BYO made it even better, as we were able to bring a special bottle of wine to celebrate. If you go, I highly rate the tuna tartare, and their steak is always delicious. I couldn’t recommend visiting Brown Sugar enough!

Absolutely delicious food, outstanding service and great vibe, had the Duck and it was so tender, they make a great cocktail too!! Def recommend trying this beautiful venue, you won’t regret it.

Amazing service from Nina and Giacomo! They were both super attentive, Nina was absolutely sensational so charismatic, friendly, and she truly made our experience even better. The food was also delicious and very well prepared. We will definitely be coming back!

All-time favourite. The consistency over the years has been remarkable. It also seemed to me that there is a new manager, and she’s fantastic, creating a smooth, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service.

Brown Sugar really delivered — every dish hit the mark 👌🏼 Big props to the chef for a killer menu. That lamb and squid ink pasta were standouts 🔥. The dessert showcased great technique and balance — light, flavorful, and elegantly plated.
