About Etheus

Etheus is a Greek restaurant at Bondi Beach's iconic Pavilion, with a menu that’s honest, fire-led, and full of flavour. The light-filled, laid-back dining room features views across the water, with private spaces designed for birthdays, events, and anything in between.

Located at Bondi Pavilion, Shop 4 Queen Elizabeth Dr, Bondi Beach NSW 2026, Etheus operates as a restaurant serving Bondi Beach in New South Wales. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, is it busy at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 5–10:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (02) 7228 1408. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a mobile. More information is available on its website, etheus.sydney.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 187 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in Bondi Beach and suggests consistent service.

Bondi Beach is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Traffic in Bondi Beach peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the unit or street number up to the suburb, state and four-digit postcode; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Schmick? In Bondi? Yep, putting this upscale cali concept in the place where even the waste water can be effectively snorted is a no brainer. Greek in Sydney is so now. The fit out is real money and the food team know what's what. I wouldn't say the food is 5* for the price. The chook is terrific, but the octopus missed it's turn in the tenderiser. The rest were all a solid passing grade. The drinks service is slow and lacks customer orientation, and divorcing the floor team from the drinks team sounds good, but never works in hospo. The music was loud and the team realised that the locals night crowd are, well, more sensitive to loud noises, and trimmed it perfectly. I'll return to see if I give the rating a bump, so to speak.

The food at Etheus is excellent! It is easily keeping up with the group of Greek restaurants that have opened up in Sydney lately. If you want to enjoy a lovely Greek lunch by the water, then this is your place! We had a wonderful Γ  la carte lunch where we enjoyed dishes including the fava, tirokafteri, spanakopita, anginares, saganaki, fava, pork, market fish, helopites with goat and dessert of Loukoumades, bougatsa and Greek yoghurt. Food was amazing. In the spirit of transparency the goat dish was too dill and lemon heavy. Would skip. And the loukoumades were too dense and not sweet at all. Would skip as well. But everything else was excellent. Including the cocktails! Hostess was amazing. Remaining service was a mixed bag. The team seemed bored to be at work. Not sure if this was because it was a rainy day and the restaurant was quiet…it was a little off putting. But not enough to detract from a lovely meal.

Was blown away by my dining experience at Etheus. Every single dish was so tasty and top quality. Service was impeccable as well. Must order is the chicken - that was a highlight. Sometimes Greek food can be too salty and overpowering but everything was done perfectly. Would definitely be back. This trumps all other Greek restaurants in Sydney

The new bondi addition! Previously the Promonade restaurant which has been turned into a dimly lit Greek with a great vibe and a superb menu. As always we order too much as the menu is extensive and all delicious. Saganaki, Greek salad, taramsalata and fresh warm pita. We could have stopped there! The fish was superb as was the generous portion of lamb. Potato fries crispy and lovely. Worth the money and the visit.

Etheus is exactly what’s been missing at Bondi Beach - a Greek feast that has freshness in mind and a generous serving in every dish. Great food, decor, service and view of Bondi Beach. What more could you ask for? I love going to restaurants and tasting food that I know I can never replicate at home, which is why I’ll be back very soon. Our waitress was attentive and all staff who served us were knowledgeable, non intrusive during service and served us with a smile. We tried the $79 feast and it was well worth it. There was so much food and to be honest we should have saved half of it in a takeaway container, but it was just too tasty to save for the next day. My favourites were the Kleftiko - lamb shoulder topped with garlic and oregano, Yemista - one big red pepper stuffed with beef mince, rice and vegetables, and the fresh Greek salad. To top it off the dessert Bougasta - filo pastry with custard in orange sauce was the perfect way to finish a well curated and generous banquet. It was well balanced - light and crispy, not too sweet and not too heavy. Local Wednesday is a fantastic way to engage us locals and we will be back to try more on the menu. I can’t wait to come ba
