It's a quiet and beautiful library here💞 When i first came here, i didnt know if it was open for public. And then i asked the librarian and yes it's for public. And she even kindly explained to me what collections they have, books, rooms, etc. Perfect place to explore history of houses, garden, and domestic life. On the second floor, they also have collections of vintage ornament samples.

I love this library. Lovely ambience to do your research. As long as you're patient and methodical, you will find something...even if you didn't know you were looking for it! And when you're stuck, the staff are amazingly resourceful and helpful. I shall return!

Treasure trove of beauty and interesting stories, it’s wonderful. Staffed by people who care and are very welcoming. Outside there’s a gorgeous courtyard garden. This library and museum is a national treasure in my view.

The Caroline Simpson Library & Research Collection is housed in one of the oldest surviving public buildings in Sydney. The renovation of the site was beautifully designed and carried out. Drop in for a short visit, even if you're not a researcher. Wander quietly around the building if only to soak in the work that went into the renovation.

Saw the other reviews. I have been using this library for years when I have the time. It is a small quiet, old style library. Yes it has glass but hardly anyone is looking at you and if you are doing research, you won't notice anyway. The staff are very, very helpful and friendly. Because you can't borrow the books and magazines it means what you are looking for will most probably be available. I've found it to be an oasis of peace and quiet in the bustling CBD. It is what I call one of my happy places! It is a library for books rather than technology.
