This was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Dr. Samantha Lee's bedside manner was completely unacceptable. I attended the appointment already feeling unwell and expected compassion, professionalism, and respect. Instead, I felt dismissed, disrespected, and treated with an attitude that no patient should have to endure. During the consultation, Dr. Lee asked me what my medical condition stood for. I was genuinely surprised that I had to explain my own diagnosis to the doctor treating me. When I responded that I expected my doctor to know about my condition, she appeared to search for information online during the appointment. This left me with very little confidence in the care I was receiving. The consultation then deteriorated further. I said, "Please don't show attitude for no reason. If you don't want to see me, that's OK." Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she stood up, gestured toward the door, and told me to leave. I found her behaviour rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy. I left feeling unheard, humiliated, and deeply disappointed. Had a really positive experience here. Dr Afrin was kind, professional and made me feel very comfortable during my appointment. The staff were friendly and the clinic was clean and well organised. I appreciated how listened to and respected I felt. Highly recommend this medical centre.

Doctors are great (they make you feel heard, kind and not rushing to push you out soon), minimal wait time, fully bulked billed, easy access to pathology and radiology after seeing GP. Appointments are usually readily available. Easy parking around. Some Receptionist (one in particular) show you attitude sometimes but that’s okay we don’t go there to see them anyways. I’ve been to other fully bulk billing centres where you need to wait for 1-3 hours for your turn then doctors try to push you out in 2-3 mins

Today, I attended my appointment as scheduled and arrived about an hour early. When I got there, I informed the receptionist that I had an appointment with the doctor at 8:20 AM. The receptionist asked me to take a seat and wait. I understood that I should wait until my appointment time, and that the doctor would call me as usual, as had been the case before. However, when the appointment time passed, there was still no sign of the doctor calling me, so I had to return to the counter to inquire again. Shortly after that, the doctor called me in. The doctor seemed somewhat displeased, and I am not sure if it was because they thought I had arrived late. The consultation felt rather rushed, and after briefly asking about my medical history, I was sent to the second floor for a blood test. When I arrived on the second floor, I waited for my turn. However, when it was time, the staff called the next person after me instead, so I had to point out that I had arrived earlier. Additionally, the staff member spoke rather curtly and did not seem very friendly. I am not sure if I did something wrong to receive this kind of service. I’ve been increasingly disappointed with the level of care at Chatswood Medical & Dental Centre. The doctors at this practice barely seem to take the time to understand the patient’s reason for visiting. When a specialist sends results or follow-up letters back to the referring GP, these outcomes are rarely discussed with the patient. I’ve had to repeatedly ask my GP what the specialist said and request copies of the letters, which I’ve been refused. On multiple occasions I’ve had to request additional scripts because the original issue wasn’t resolved. At one appointment, the same GP even asked me who the referring specialist was and appeared confused about what I had been referred for, saying she didn’t have time to read my file. This was after I had already waited over an hour past my appointment time. Since the practice moved to being 100% bulk billed, it feels like the focus has shifted to getting as many patients through the door as possible rather than providing quality care. Previously, there was a GP at this practice named Dr Wayne Pinto. He was exceptional—he took the time to understand each patient and consistently followed up. Unfortunately, he and his wife have mov
