My experience with Double Bay Vets was (finally) so bad that I decided today to write my first negative Google review, after taking my dog there for five years. The team were unfriendly bordering on the arrogant. Double Bay Vets are very good at appointment reminders and charging, but - in my case - lacked any empathy. Not going there again. Well - Google Review does not allow to reply to the owner’s reply. The owner did not reach out directly to me but chose to reply, saying that I was rude. So here amended review, to give you my side: The original appointment was for late Friday. We got a call that day asking whether this could be moved to Saturday morning, 9.30am. We said okay. I sent a text at 9am that we would be late but show up. We arrived at 9.50am. We were asked to wait as we were late and the next appointment already waiting there. We said sure, no problem, though my dog didn’t like being there lately, so was quite anxious. About 2in in, the front staff made a passing remark, β€œgetting there”, to which I did not respond. We waited for 50min, took someone else in. No acknowledging of the long waiting time, nothing. When I suggested (politely) that this took long, I got no

Our dogs (3) have been under the care of Double Bay Vet clinic since the mid 1990’s. Sally and her team have been amazing and were incredibly compassionate when it was time to say goodbye to our beautiful dogs. Of late Eliza has looked after our 9 year old Labrador. Her diagnoses have been accurate and we have a good care plan. Can’t recommend this practice enough.

Eliza and the team took such great care of my little man Crackers, provided so much information and we're really helpful in helping managing cost blow out. Very grateful and definitely recommend this practice.

We moved both our dogs to Dr Eliza and her wonderful team of nurses, Stephanie, Sophia and the rest of the team. It has been such a welcome and positive experience to date. Dr Eliza was able to get to the bottom of both the dogs skin issues, change their diets with constructive and science backed approaches, we are on the mend. We have also finally got to the bottom of our second little girls skin issues. I am so grateful to have found them. Thank you so much. One grateful little family here.

Amazing, caring vet staff. Sally and the nurses are so patient and knowledgeable. At the forefront of canine cancer treatment on extremities with minimal impact to older dogs. Lily loves her trips to the vet!
