From a random call feels pretty fraudulent. knew my first name but not my last name but they knew my address but wanted to know the current rates of energy I am paying as there was a change of rates through there have been a change rate the rate going up and they’re insinuating the rates have gone down. It was confusing to know who I was chatting to apparently that called electricity monster which is a hard company to find over a quick research which isn’t very compelling. Continuing to answer my last name refused to give it to them. Then asking for my meter number, which just said Don’t have time for this not interested please don’t call back

Contacted them under the impression I was talking to Energy Australia they asked for my personal details and the person I spoke to had bad English. Once I realised the error I immediately hung up. They have tried to contact me 16 times in the last 2 weeks. Have blocked their number and reported them for harassment. Beware.....

I thought I was talking to Energy Australia, and it became only clear at the very end that I was not, I had even given them my driver’s licence number. Very worried as she knew up all my details. Spoke to Energy Australia afterwards, but will be reporting this to Consumer Affairs etc.

While i was trying to contact my previous energy retailer seeking for better plan, for some reason my call was connected to this company some months ago. I gave them my license number while changing energy retailer. Just received renewal notification notice. I don't remember becoming customer with this company. Feels so unsafe and suspicious

Something off with this company. All I wanted to do was update some personal detail with Actewagl, something I couldn't do online; in phoning I ended up with this firm. Two operators danced around what I wanted, refusing to do the simple change I wanted, and insisted that I had to listen to their spiel about better plans! Eventually their admitted they were "agents", and at least gave me the direct number for Actewagl. But how the he'll do I end up with electricity monster when searching for the number for Actewagl. As I said, something off about this setup. I was stupid enough to give one of them my phone number so I expect I'll be hounded by them
