Choosing a clinic, GP or pharmacy is about trust and convenience: check the opening hours, whether appointments are needed, whether the practice bulk bills or charges a gap, and which languages the staff speak. Public hospitals are free for Medicare holders but busy; private clinics move faster and cost more. For anything urgent, call ahead so the right person is available, and in an emergency dial 000.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–7 pm. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Forest Mall Medical Centre on (02) 9570 5522; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is dyvesthealthcare.com.au, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Hurstville is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Getting around Hurstville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy centres, and most suburban shops have their own car park. Public transport and ride-share apps such as Uber and DiDi operate across New South Wales's larger cities.

I completely understand that medical centers are busy, unpredictable environments, and I always anticipate a reasonable delay when seeing a doctor. However, what happened today at Forest Mall Medical Centre goes far beyond a standard delay. Do not give a patient an appointment slot for 11:20 AM if you aren't going to see them until 1:00 PM. A nearly two-hour wait is entirely unacceptable. If the clinic was running that catastrophically behind, the front desk should have reached out beforehand or at least given an honest update upon arrival so I could reschedule. Our time as patients is valuable, too. The lack of communication and respect for people's schedules here is incredibly frustrating. I will be looking for a different clinic.

I had an extremely upsetting and unacceptable experience with Dr Kam Yin Benjamin Siu. I booked this GP specifically because his profile states experience in Women’s Health. I attended the appointment regarding my delayed period and wanted proper medical advice and possibly blood tests to investigate the issue. Instead of listening to my concerns, taking a history, examining me appropriately, or explaining what tests might or might not be necessary, I was treated with complete disrespect. When I asked about doing blood tests to check whether there was an underlying issue, the doctor responded in a shocking and deeply offensive way. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, he made a racist and inappropriate comment about “Nepal nationality only coming for blood tests.” I was stunned. No patient should ever be spoken to like that. The consultation then became even worse. He abruptly opened the door, asked me to leave, and told reception not to charge me. Waiving the fee does not excuse the behaviour. I did not go there for a free appointment — I went there because I was worried about my health and needed help. Instead, I left feeling humiliated, dismissed, and discriminated

I am very disappointed with the way appointment times are being managed. We were informed that the doctor would be running one hour late, yet we ended up waiting for two hours beyond our scheduled appointment time. This was particularly frustrating, as we knew the doctor was already at the clinic. Unfortunately, this has not happened just once, it has occurred on multiple occasions. Consistently failing to adhere to appointment schedules shows a lack of consideration for patients' time and commitments.

Avoid this medical centre, even if it is bulk billed. Appointment times often meant very little. Despite booking in advance, patients could still wait 2–3 hours to see a doctor. In January 2024, Dr S. Issa referred the patient for a thyroid biopsy which confirmed papillary carcinoma. According to the family’s understanding, the patient was not properly informed of the result or the need for urgent follow-up at the time. Now, over two years later, the patient is undergoing surgery in hospital for a TIRADS 5 thyroid lesion. This has been an extremely distressing experience for the patient and family. We strongly believe medical centres should have reliable systems to ensure serious results are clearly communicated and appropriately followed up.

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Kiro at Forest Mall Medical Centre. I was charged consultation fees of $300, $350, and $385 on different occasions, which seemed significantly higher than the fees displayed at the reception and on the clinic's website. When I asked for an explanation about the charges, I did not receive a clear or satisfactory answer. Another concern was that during the consultation, I was asked to go to reception and make payment before the consultation was completed and then return to continue the appointment. I found this unusual and unprofessional. The waiting times were also extremely long. I had an appointment booked for 2:00 pm but was not seen until around 6:00 pm, resulting in a wait of approximately four hours. Everytime have to wait 2-4 hours for the turn to come. I understand that medical practices can run behind schedule and that doctors may charge private fees, but I believe patients should receive clear information about costs, billing practices, and expected waiting times. Based on my experience, I was very dissatisfied with the service and would encourage the clinic to improve transparency regarding fees and appointment managemen
