The consultation with Dr Michael Kim was a very disappointing experience. I felt that my concerns were not properly listened to, and my explanations were often generalized or challenged instead of being explored further. Patients share their symptoms and circumstances to help doctors understand their situation and provide appropriate care, not to defend themselves.

My experience with *Dr. Michael Kim* was very negative. From the beginning of the consultation, his attitude was rude and unprofessional. When I explained my symptoms, he responded in a dismissive way. During the physical examination, while using the stethoscope, he lifted my clothing abruptly and without warning, which made me feel uncomfortable. Additionally, he showed impatience because my English is not perfect, even saying that he did not understand why I came to the doctor if I “had nothing.” At the end of the consultation, he handed me the medical certificate in a disrespectful manner, almost throwing it at me. I believe all patients deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and empathy, regardless of language barriers. After reading other reviews, I can see that I am not the only person who has had a negative experience. I reported my concerns at reception, but the response was not taken seriously, and I did not feel heard. I would not recommend this doctor.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Jun Zhang, who has been my doctor for many years. She is an exceptional practitioner who consistently shows genuine kindness, empathy, and professionalism in every consultation. Despite being highly efficient, she never makes you feel rushed and always takes the time to listen carefully. Her care is incredibly thorough, and she takes a holistic approach, considering both physical and mental wellbeing. I’ve always felt confident and well supported under her care. Dr Zhang is everything you would hope for in a doctor, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and highly skilled GP.

I have been a patient for almost 20 years, I have seen various doctors. Both Dr Zhangs are amazing if you get in to see them. “Some” reception staff are rude, arrogant and condescending and talk about you amongst each other …. Ignore the rude staff and I suggest you make your appointment on line.

For many years, I have always had great service from the doctors at Sydney CBD's Hyde Park Medical Centre, I just hadn't had time to write a review. The team are efficient, willing to help and have always genuinely cared. The online booking is also super helpful. Dr Kim is always willing to listen and explore different options to resolve my health concerns.
