My society recently hosted an event at Ivy Ballroom, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The venue exudes elegance, with its sophisticated ambience setting the perfect tone for the evening. For the meal, we opted for a two-course menu, and while the dishes were enjoyable, the duck was slightly on the salty side. That said, the overall dining experience was pleasant. Guests also had access to a paid drinks bar at the back, complemented by free-flow Coke and Sprite, which was a nice touch. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking to host a refined and well-organized gathering!

Recently attended a function at Ivy Ballroom, and to be honest, it was disappointing. The venue looked run-down and in serious need of an overhaul. The overhead air-conditioning ducts appeared unclean, with noticeable signs of water damage or mould, which was off-putting. The food was another letdown. While the Zucchette and Ricotta ravioli were just okay, the king salmon and chicken dishes were mediocre at best. The basil sorbet on the Pavlova was particularly dreadful, making the entire dessert inedible. The table salad was nothing more than a large bowl of Roquette, which most guests left untouched. Service was subpar, with many waitstaff seemingly inexperienced and struggling with basic tasks. The limited drink options—house wine, beer, and soft drinks—were underwhelming. The red wine was especially poor, with an earthy taste and a heavy dose of preservatives that left many with a hangover the next day. Overall, Ivy Ballroom is an overrated venue that falls short on many fronts. I'd recommend looking for an alternative location for your event.

Attended 40-under-40 most influential Asian Australians dinner here. The menu is good. Love the crispy chicken and the dessert with Mascarpone ice cream and coffee sauce pudding. The staff were attentive.

A truly unforgettable location, dripping with opulence and elegance. Situated only seconds from Wynyard Train Station - the location is absolutely second to none. The food was delectable, while the dance floor was modest and the bathroom amenities were exceptionally clean.
