Very impressed with Lumos Education! It’s not like a typical tutoring centre that simply gives students endless worksheets and questions to complete. Tessa genuinely cares about her students and takes the time to understand their individual needs. She consistently provides detailed feedback on their progress and carefully matches each student with the most suitable tutor. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Lumos. Teachers are experienced full-time teachers who are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely committed to helping students succeed. Lumos also feels like a place with warmth and care. The principal, Tessa, is incredibly kind and supportive. She always encourages students with a positive attitude, listens patiently to parents’ feedback, and provides timely updates on my son’s progress.My son genuinely enjoys going to Lumos. We’re very grateful for the support from all the teachers at Lumos, and we hope that with their help, my son will achieve good results in HSC.

I found Lumos Education really helpful for improving my maths and English, especially when I needed extra practice for school. The questions are clear and actually help me understand topics better, even if they can get a bit repetitive sometimes. It’s easy to use and good for revision, but you definitely need some motivation to keep going (because it’s not always the most exciting thing ever). Overall, I think it’s a useful tool that helps me build my skills and feel more confident.

My family moved from Shanghai to Sydney when my elder son was in Year 6. He started English tutoring at Lumos in Y6 Term 4. At first, his teacher said there was a big gap between his English and local students. Over three years, he improved from average to near the top of his school class. Language learning takes time, but good habits and interest matter most, and a good environment helps a lot. My younger son isn’t very interested in tutoring, but after 2 short courses at Lumos, he actually liked them. It’s one of the few places he’s willing to go. All in all, Tessa is very helpful. She has a good eye for selecting teachers and understands students well.
