I came in today at around 11:00 am to ask for assistance, but unfortunately, the staff member at the counter was not very helpful and came across as quite rude. He quoted me $99 for welding, and when I mentioned that I was also due for an eye check-up, he simply said they were not doing them today. He did not offer to help me book an appointment for another day or explain what options were available. The experience felt dismissive and lacked basic customer service. Deserves 1 star. Edit: Thanks for taking the time to reply. I appreciate the clarification about the $99 repair fee and the days eye tests are available. My review wasn’t about disagreeing with the price or expecting an eye test that same day. It was about how the interaction came across to me. I found the staff member abrupt and dismissive, which is why I described the experience as rude. When I asked about an eye test, I would have appreciated being offered help to book the next available appointment rather than just being told it wasn’t available that day. ​I had the pleasure of attending a private acetate ring-making session with Ricky one evening at Lunette Art Lab Optometrist. From the moment you walk into the practice, the atmosphere feels incredibly artsy, putting you in the perfect mood to bring out your creative side! ​We chose our own acetate colors and crafted ring shapes to suit our personal styles. Ricky was a fantastic instructor—patient, knowledgeable, and able to rescue our minor mishaps to ensure we left with beautiful final products. ​He also runs frame-making classes where you are custom-measured to create your own fitted frames (which are claimable with health insurance if you put prescription lenses in!). I would love to try that next time. ​If you want a unique night out with a small group of friends, this is a fun, creative alternative to standard paint-and-sip classes. Plus, if you have a frame that needs a complex repair, I truly believe Ricky is one of the best in Sydney, if not all of Australia. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this place. I have a pair of Tom Ford frame that needed nose pads to be added for a better fit. Ricky was fantastic in getting this done and I’m so happy with the result. His store is also so unique and beautiful, offering some amazing looking frames.

I had such a lovely time making my own handmade sunglasses here! The whole experience was calming and therapeutic — the space had a relaxed vibe with chill music playing in the background, which really set the mood. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of having a phone/camera stand so I could record the process from start to finish. Watching a simple plastic sheet gradually turn into a one-of-a-kind pair of glasses gave me such a rewarding sense of accomplishment. The setup was smooth, and the guidance throughout was clear and friendly, making the whole DIY process fun and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something creative, hands-on, and relaxing!
