I recently joined the club and immediately felt so welcome. Joe was inviting and is incredibly kind, passionate and an amazing runner, coach and mentor to those around him. His enthusiasm is really special. So great I can join in runs whenever I feel up to it, and am always greeted by a lovely bunch of other runners at all levels. Highly recommend to all, get out there and as Joe always says, two words, Show Up!! 🩵

I have been running with Manly Running Club for a while now, and it has honestly been one of the best decisions I have made for my running. A big shoutout to Coach Joe, the level of guidance, structure, and encouragement they bring to every session is outstanding. Whether you are training for your first race or pushing for a PB, the coaching is thoughtful, motivating, and genuinely personalised. What really makes this club special though is the people. The community is incredibly welcoming, supportive, and full of positive energy. There is no ego, just a group of people who love running and show up for each other.

I can’t recommend Manly Beach Running Club and Coach Joe Ward enough! I just finished a half marathon with a time of 1:42:17. And honestly, it felt like the easiest race I’ve ever run! Joe’s guidance is incredible- he provides practical 'tips and tricks' that really help with the mental game and race-day nerves. I woke up feeling calm, confident and ready to go. If you want a coach who genuinely cares about your progress and helps you achieve outstanding results while enjoying the process, coach Joe is your person!

Starting my running journey again from scratch felt I needed structure and some encouragement. not to mention expert advice so indulged in 5 training sessions with the Amazing and Super Inspiring Joe Ward! I’m 💯 stoked to be running again now in my 50’s but with a different, Ha and more enjoyable mindset. Running gives so much on so many levels, is efficient and basically free. I now run amongst nature noticing that butterflies and breeze coming across the lake. I’m actually enjoying the run itself and feel so happy of course once I’ve finished. Thank you Joe, I actually couldn’t be back running without your expertise and encouragement. It’s Gold!!!

Joe is undoubtedly one of IF NOT the best running coach ANYONE could ask for. Not only is he a good running coach- without trying he is a GREAT life coach. He understands what it takes to get the best out of every athlete regardless of their ability level. His dedication to not just the craft of running but more so the craft of life. I have learned so much from our catch up chats- often these chats stay from running and more about being a complete and better person which eventually leads back to running Joe has guided me though 4 races so far this year (2024) - each performance better than the one before. One race being a huge non scheduled PR for a trail half marathon. Words can not articulate the respect I have for Joe and I can guarentee that if you engage Joe as your running coach you will only move forward and be a better runner and person from that day forward
