My teenager son felt ill after swimming in the cold ocean water and ended up fainting. Cold shock to his body. The amazing surf life saving team looked after my son before the ambulance or I arrive. They were friendly and provide the best care they could. I was kept inform by Desmond who was clear in communication and professionalism. Really fantastic staff!

Manly Life Saving Club brings the whole beach together in the best way. Step off the Corso, cross the promenade and you are at the heart of it all: red and yellow flags planted in neat lines, rescue boards stacked by the shed, radios clicking while patrols scan the banks. The clubhouse itself sits right on the sand with a front row view, so you feel part of the action even before you swim. Volunteers are welcoming and practical. Ask about the rips and you will get a clear read of the conditions, not a lecture, which is priceless if you are new to the beach or bringing visitors. In the water the flagged zone is where the day stays easy. Sandbars move around here, so the patrol shifts the flags to the safest pocket and keeps everyone looped in with calm calls from the tower. Small days bring a playful shorebreak that is perfect for body surfing. When the swell stands up, confident swimmers still have fun under watchful eyes while families often wander south toward Fairy Bower and Shelly for gentler laps and good snorkel prospects. Very welcoming and looking for further assistance look no further than the highly respected, intelligent and very safety conscious Volunteer Lifesavers during the Summer Season ( Late September till 25th April ) and after hours rescue response.

Took the ferry from Cicular Quay. A great trip. See the harbour bridge and Opera house from the water. Kids loved it. Beach was incredible great place for the kids to swim. If you found this review helpful please click "Like"👍

Decent place to visit. Brilliant place to join. If you love the sea, the surf, and the sand there a so many friendly locals who have the same interests. You'll feel well at home.
