About Masala Kitchen World Square
Located at Shop 10.68, World Square, Pitt St, Sydney NSW 2000, Masala Kitchen World Square operates as an indian restaurant serving Sydney in New South Wales. For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, is it busy at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.
Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Masala Kitchen World Square on (02) 9261 5775; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is masalakitchen.com.au, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Goan Fish Curry ($29) + Basmati Plain Rice ($6.5): Always got me some creamy and spicy fish curry when Iβm tired of lamb curry, relatively delicious and very light fish. Aam Panna (Indian soda) ($11): Raw mango puree, fresh lemonade with soda water. Tastes very sweet, tarted and a little pungent, one of the best sodas for me. Itβs diagonally from civic hotel and next to Factorie. Very well decorated interior, especially the lamps and the wallpaper. I waited for like 10 minutes for a seat because it seemed like a large group of people like a travel group were leaving. Overall, attentive staff, authentic Indian food, a little expensive but worth it, 9.5 out of 10!

We went for dinner day before yesterday and was highly disappointed with the food served. We ordered kadai paneer and it was so oily. Every spoon had a lot of oil/butter and the gravy was sour and salty. This is not what we get served at restaurants. The fried rice was very average. Only the mango lassi was good. I am giving one star for the service alone as the lady at the cashier asked us about our food to which we gave our feedback and she offered us a discount or a drink but we did not want either.

Im glad we had our first panipuri bomb in here, as my daughter been asking to try. We had βDahi Puriβ and βPuchka Panipuri Bombsβ which really sealed the deal for her. Both were wonderfully served and delightful. We then had a βThaliβ meal non-veg, which served with 3 types of curries, again everything is well made, the meat so tender and the spice is just really enjoyable. The ambience is very welcoming and vibrant, service is great too, the waitress checked on us knowing itβs our first time to try. Pricing is reasonably good. Im interested to try their βMirchi Pakora, Dosa and Goat Curry - so definitely coming back!

Unfortunately the service here was terrible. The first entree came out, was eaten, then the next came out and we had to ask for the third to be brought out, which also came with one of the first main courses. Had to ask again where one of the naan breads was as we had waited too long. Had to constantly ask for more water and other drinks. Majority of the food was ok/good.. apart from the vegan butter chicken. Absolutely disgusting. Tasted like plastic. Such a shame after reading so many good reviews about this place. Would definitely recommend staying away from this place
