Very disappointing service. We visited the shop around 5:00 PM on 8 August and were served by an older Asian staff member. The first thing she asked was, “Are you buying today?” When we said we wanted to try first, her attitude immediately changed. When I asked about the diamond quality of a ring, she said she would have to find the certificate and clearly looked like she didn’t want to bother. She then said, “If you want better quality, you need to pay more.” What an unpleasant and unnecessary comment. We were looking for an engagement ring,of course we need time to try, compare and ask questions before buying. Her attitude made us feel like we weren’t worth her time unless we were ready to pay immediately. Terrible customer service.

I went in today to check out some rings and the lady with the long brown hair was so rude and judgemental. I work in center but I guess she didn’t recognise me as I was wearing a jumper. She sounded very condescending and didn’t even bother to explain anything. She just kept talking down to me when I asked her anything. I’m glad she didn’t recognise me because this shows her true character. In the end I understood that she’s not going to be of any help and said thank you and walked away. I guess basic respect isn’t natural to her. You guys have gotta do better. I don’t think I’ll ever be going there again.

While I had read some mixed reviews about the sales staff at Michael Hill in Westfield Chatswood, my experience was incredibly positive, and that is entirely thanks to Nellie. She provided excellent, attentive customer service from start to finish. What I appreciated most was her active listening—she didn't rush us or use high-pressure tactics. Instead, she took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and patiently ensured all of our needs and concerns were thoroughly addressed. Her professionalism and helpful approach made the whole process easy and enjoyable. She is a genuine asset to the store, and I highly recommend asking for Nellie if you visit this location.

Hey, I am writing this review for my pathetic experience with Michael Hill. Even though being such a reputed brand, we experienced a terrible moment with one of your staff lady. I believe her name was Cathy as she attended us and even processed our final payment (although I request you to check your system as the other lady was very polite and welcoming). She attended myself (Omkar Kshirsagar) on Sunday 14/06/2026 around 12:30 PM. When I refused to add on the protection plan for 3 years, her attitude changed (which I understand as this plan is commissioned based) and she started to give rude expressions and was very unwelcoming. I see there is a similar review above and its very disappointing to see a brand like Michael Hill has taken no action against it. This is not cool to ruin someone’s special day just for your personal benefits. I expect this review is actioned seriously and other customers don’t have to face this lady ever.

Went there before to look at a necklace and was served by the old lady with black hair and a lot of big rings. At first she greeted me warmly and helped me look at the jewelry, but after I said thank you and I’ll come back another day to buy them her smile immediately dropped and didn’t say goodbye back to me. Fast forward about 2 months I came back a couple days ago to look at some pieces i saw online (just wanted to see how they looked in person) and that same lady was there with another younger lady and when I approached them for help, the old lady immediately cut off the younger lady and began trying to help me as I was dressed up that day. When trying on pieces she was extremely pushy and constantly asking if I liked them and if I was going to buy them. I made it clear that I just wanted to see them in person first and try them on before deciding which to buy. Overall the whole situation felt forced, uncomfortable and like I was being judged by her the whole time. (Also when I tried to lighten the mood by saying that the pieces were beautiful and today was lovely etc she just responded like a robot and had this mean, judgy look). At the end, I said thank you, I’ve had a look a
