.TMS commonly causes scalp pain or discomfort at the stimulation site, headaches, and facial twitching during sessions. Rare but serious: seizure risk (low, but real). "Non-invasive" glosses over the fact you're sitting through 20-40 minute sessions, typically 5 days a week for 4-7 weeks β that's a massive time commitment they don't mention. They also don't mention cost. Medicare covers an initial course for treatment-resistant depression under specific criteria (must have failed adequate trials of antidepressants), but if you don't fit the criteria or need retreatment, you're potentially looking at thousands out of pocket. And "many patients experience improvement" conveniently skips the response rates roughly a third of treatment-resistant patients get meaningful remission, which means most don't.

The staff were pleasant to deal with; however, the overall coordination of care was incredibly disorganised. Appointments with the medical team were missed on several occasions due to communication errors, which caused unnecessary frustration and undermined confidence in the process. More concerning was the scheduling of psychedelic treatment dates without appropriate coordination around my medical requirements. Treatment sessions were booked despite my needing to fully withdraw from necessary medications and remain off them for at least one month prior for treatment to be clinically appropriate. Given the significant financial investment involved in pursuing this treatment for my health, I expected a far more polished, professional, and clinically coordinated standard of care. Unfortunately, my experience fell well short of what should reasonably be expected for patients undergoing such specialised treatment.

I've had depression and anxiety now for a very long time, so I decided to undertake a round of TMS sessions to see if it could help my depression somewhat. I think it has helped a bit, but life circumstances are pretty bad at the moment so i'm not surprised it wasn't a cure all however. The clinician I saw at the Narre Warren, VIC Clinic (Drashti) was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her. She was also exceptionally competent at her job which decreased my anxiety. I've had an initial appointment with the Psychiatrist (Dr Samir Ibrahim) as well as a couple of follow up reviews and he seems to be a lovely dr and listen and understands (which can sometimes be very difficult to find someone like that). All in all the experience has been pretty positive. I would definitely consider another round down the track to see if it can help even more.

So far - my experiences with all associated with my treatment at Monarch MHG have been nothing but positive. Dr. Kavitha Shankar, Juliana and my primary clinician, David have been most professional, accomodating and very pleasant in the provision of all services to and for me. Many thanks, Mark Flusk

This practice does not adhere to time lines they provide. Waited 6 months for a report that was quoted to take 6 weeks. Then took months to start treatment where my Dr giggled at some of my responses and was judgemental and now I have to undertake a series of drug tests like some sort of junkie that's going to sell prescription medication. Was happy to prescribe some bs medication with bad side effects and withdrawals though. Pretty sure the Dr didnt even read or consider the report that was required within monarch anyway. I gave a timeline on wanting to return to work in full and my Dr ignored it and set a follow up for 6 weeks to randomly drug test me throughout. Dr also laughed at things I do around my injury and my hobbies like I was an idiot for trying. Didn't feel like treatment. Felt like assumptions and judgement. I will keep the drs name private for now but I asked for an alternative and no one is available.

Great experience, esp. at Keilor East. Their team was kind, made me feel safe, and were an overall pleasure to work with. 11/10 would recommend. Especially Julianna, Darren, Angel Krancy and Deeba; they really went above and beyond!

To say that I am impressed would be an understatement. Having dealt with mental illness for the last 15 years I feel like I have been saved. It all started with my interaction from Julianna- she is the client manager however I truely believe she is the backbone of a machine with multiple moving parts that all work. From my first interaction with Julianna it was all systems go. I had a treatment schedule, specialist appointments lined up, dates, times you name it. It was done and what didnβt fit my schedule she managed to make changes on the spot with minimal fuss This place is changing my life- day by day

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Another viewer with the same horrible experience. 10 weeks of no contact after $1600 and 2 ADHD assessments with Marcus Chang. No one knows what theyβre doing in the calls. No follow up. No patient care. Asking for a full refund and ideally compensation for wasting so many hours of my time. STAY AWAY.
