The service is tailored to the needs of the Western Sydney community and provides a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support. Located at Ground Floor, Suite One/150 George St, Parramatta NSW 2150, Parramatta Medicare Mental Health Centre operates as a mental health serving Parramatta in New South Wales. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Choosing a clinic, GP or pharmacy is about trust and convenience: check the opening hours, whether appointments are needed, whether the practice bulk bills or charges a gap, and which languages the staff speak. Public hospitals are free for Medicare holders but busy; private clinics move faster and cost more. For anything urgent, call ahead so the right person is available, and in an emergency dial 000.

Parramatta is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Australian addresses list the street number, suburb, state abbreviation and postcode, and Parramatta follows the same pattern; a number like 2/411 means unit 2 at number 411. The staff, including the psychologist, appear immature and at times rude towards older and vulnerable clients. They are often defensive and avoid engaging with older clients, showing little understanding of, or exposure to, culturally diverse backgrounds and experiences. On multiple occasions, staff have been observed discussing, gossiping about, and laughing at older clients, reflecting harassment, ageism, and a profound lack of professionalism, empathy, and respect. Additionally, staff interactions can occasionally feel overly opinionated rather than supportive, which may leave clients feeling pressured rather than assisted. This service is not safe nor inclusive for everyone. They appear to favour certain clients, prioritising their own interests, thus failing to provide equitable support to the wider community. Free should not mean, poor quality, zero accountability and damaging consequences 😞

I’ve been visiting this centre for months now. I’m really grateful for their help. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, even if you’re unsure or worried, the team is very supportive!

Participated in a supportive, non-judgmental mental health program funded by Medicare. Engaged in counselling sessions every fortnight, with additional support from professional staff on a weekly basis over a 3-month period. Benefited from a well-maintained, welcoming environment featuring comfortable seating, cosy amenities, free resources (hand soaps, tissues, coffee, and tea), and an open, organized kitchen and communal areas. Developed personal skills and emotional wellbeing through consistent support and positive interactions with trained staff. Appreciated the centre’s commitment to creating a professional, immaculate, and relaxing atmosphere conducive to mental health recovery and self-care.

All the staff are so friendly and sweet! I felt very supported throughout my time with them. Very hard to believe they provide mental health services for free :) Would highly recommend if you need support to reach out to them.

Had a booked counselling session today, prior to the session I was asked to fill out two consent forms before my zoom call appointment. No zoom link was attached to my email, had to call up and have my assigned counsellor call me back. During the session she talked about a range of services they provide, got to the point when she said that I'll need to consent to the forms to disclose personal information/sharing, to be able to continue my session and future support services from them. Had an eerie feeling and still decided to not consent. She did not mention anything about consent forms being a compulsory requirement, prior to the appointment. On-top of the already missing zoom link. Would have been great to have the consent forms explained before anything else. To be honest, it didn't feel right and if I'm going to have my information stored and shared, I'd rather it to be with someone I know and trust already. To a known professional - psychologist/psychiatrist.

Horrible experience at Head to Health.. My partners follow up appointments kept getting stuffed up by reception so she would come in with no booked appointment. She pleaded for an earlier appointment with staff due to it being an urgent related matter, and reception staff were snappy, rude and dismissive with her making her wait 3 weeks for her next appointment with no alternative. Management was just as neglectful as reception staff in this situation. We won’t be coming back to this clinic.. shameful display of professionalism.

Had a great experience here from beginning to end. Very happy with the mental health support I got from Clare and the career support I got from Aileen. What an amazing service, I feel so lucky to have got it all free of charge! I was experiencing mental health problems related to perimenopause and it was great to be able to just drop in at a point where I was feeling really desperate for help and not have to jump through any hoops or go through any red tape
