They donβt even deserve one star if there was the option !! Very upsetting and humiliating experience at the Parramatta centre. I came for help and was treated with rudeness and hostility instead. The man handing out tickets (Paul) dismissed me and spoke to me with attitude. Another staff member with long curly grey hair ignored me and walked away when I asked for directions. During food distribution, an older grey-haired male staff member yelled at me for taking two packs of ham, publicly embarrassed me, and limited my food while others were allowed more. As a first-time visitor, no rules were explained. I felt singled out, disrespected, and possibly discriminated against.l!!

Paul & his wonderful team of Volunteers help assist with a fresh daily breakfast & lunch served in the centre from Monday to Friday. Some days with extra fruit n veggies, breads, clothing & other household items. Free advice & guidance on what, when, where or who to turn to for any problem big or small...etc Finances, Housing, & so much more including showers & other services & much much more. The friendly welcome & understanding of your situation helps make for whatever your journey or story is, that you are not alone or left feeling helpless. I highly recommend dropping by.

In the years that I have been struggling with homelessness, when I lived in Harris Park- Parramatta Mission always helped me with meals, clothes, emotional support as it does with thousands of others. Now that I live semi rural for the last 2.5 years - it is hard, takes me 3 hours to travel there by public transport. Regardless Paul Moussa who is in charge of Meals Plus is always emotionally supportive even when I am remote. He does the same with countless others that I know of. The staff are always friendly, courteous, kind and the people who attend mostly are polite- you get a few who are not always that way- but that is them having a bad day. Thank You Paul and Parramatta Mission. God Bless!
