In my experience, dealing with QBE was one of the most stressful parts of recovering from my injury. About six months into my workers compensation claim, I found my case manager to be unnecessarily adversarial and threatening, despite my being fully compliant. As an injured worker, I wanted to focus on my recovery rather than worrying about baseless legal threats, harassment, and extremely rude and unprofessional coercive behaviour. I strongly recommend engaging a good independent rehabilitation provider and an IRO lawyer early. I also found it helpful to raise my concerns with IRO, iCare and SIRA after I experienced a pattern of extremely poor claims management. In my case, IRO stepped in and reimbursed claims that had initially been refused. Despite lodging a formal complaint with QBE, including requesting a change of case manager, I did not receive any outcome. I ultimately had to escalate my concerns to iCare. The regulatory bodies exist to protect injured workers from claims management that lacks compassion and fairness. I would not recommend QBE. I swear it has to be the worst insurance company out there. I had an accident back in feb,2026. I wasn’t being informed about my car being written off by the insurance company and moreover, they weren’t even aware of that. I had to follow up with the mechanic myself . It took a whole month to get my written off assessment done and the amount to be processed .The staff is not cooperative and does not follow up as well. Highly disappointing

I spoke to car insurance claim department and had a very lovely service and phone call with QBE employee named Shane Hoepper. He was very patient, caring and supportive in his mannerism and thoroughly went through notes from previous call logs that I had placed with different employees. The employee I spoke to the day before was undermining and punitive in his communication; however, I was able to change my mind on QBE service after having spoken to Shane. He addressed my concerns in a calm, composed and gentle manner and was prompt with offering reassurance on next steps from here onwards. He has assisted he would be providing corrective feedback to the previous employee I spoke with and offered realistic advice. We need more people like Shane in this planet and especially in service sector that involves dealing with people. Thank you for your all your help Shane ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They use an overseas call centre claims enquiries. I can’t understand what they’re saying on the phone. Correspondence is severely lacking. You need to call and email several times to get any response. I submitted a claim and over a month later I’m asked to fill out a second form that can only be printed and completed in pen. It’s 2025 and these clowns haven’t worked out a digital form. They send me to a repairer that is completely incompetent. The repairer called to harass me for not bringing the car in for repair but the repair hasn’t even been approved by QBE yet. I could go on but you get the idea.
