I like this green park very much. Public facilities are complete and there are rivers. Many waterbirds and bats live freely and happily here. Large-scale events are regularly held on this vast site, with annual hot air balloon launches, music festivals, carnivals and other exciting community events.

This area of Parramatta Park is named after a former convict who moved to the area in 1796. 30 acres of land was granted to George Salter, allowing him to βreside and cultivate the land.β Salter had been convicted of smuggling in England and given a sentence of transportation for 7 years, arriving in Sydney Cove on the Second Fleet in 1789. By 1800, he had successfully transformed Salterβs Farm, and was producing large crops of wheat and maize. You'll find wildlife in this area - They love the swimming in Domain Creek.
