Secure Parking - Goulburn Street, Sydney Haymarket Car Park

I had the most horrible experience at this parking. They held me against my will for 1 hour. I had to call police and their costumer service. On 23/07/2026 around 11:30am I entered in this parking I quickly went to the tribunal drop off some documents then 20 min later I accessed the parking through ground floor on Castleheagh street where I inserted my ticket and paid. I call the lift to 2 floor where I parked my car. At the exit gate did not open for my car to leave. I pressed the assistance bottom but the man said I have to pay. I explained I had paid and the machine took my ticket. He answered I had to pay. I explained repeatedly the situation, but he seemed to pretend do not understand, saying he does not care. When I said I am leaving and manually started to pull up the gate he threatened me saying: “I have your car plate and I will report you to police” I said ok let’s call police, so I called police and said: I have been held against my will in this parking. I said I need assistance but none helped me. Also i informed the Indian accent man (secure parking assistance) that I called police even though he still saying I had to pay also he repeatedly said he does not care a

Weekend flat rate is pointless if there are no spots available. Spent 25 minutes looping around looking for a spot but the place was jammed. So I gave up and still got hit for $16. Cars were still coming in, so they took money for absolutely nothing. Quite literally a waste of time and money. Gave up and parked at the Domain instead.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to file a complaint regarding an incident that occurred on 12 February 2026. I approached the counter to ask about the service charge, as I felt it was higher than what I had previously paid. The older female staff member who assisted me appeared displeased and told me to get a ticket from the machine. However, I did not understand what to do because I had already made the payment and the ticket was inside the machine. From her facial expressions and the way she spoke to me, it was clear that she was unhappy with me. Shortly after, a man asked her for a key (I am not sure what the key was for). The staff member then threw the key in my direction with an angry expression. Fortunately, there was a glass barrier in front of me, so I was not injured. I would like the company to please investigate whether this staff member’s behavior complies with your customer service standards. A surprisely positive experience parking on the weekend in the CBD. $15 all day parking 6 to 6 true to their words. Be warned to arrive early. Parking spaces quickly run out before mid morning. EDIT: as 2026 the weekend all day parking rate has been increased to $16.

Good location, well priced with good weekend rates; no pre booking required. I was looking for somewhere to park in the CBD over the weekend while visiting Sydney. Was about to book somewhere else but glad I read the reviews suggesting this location instead. Arrived 4pm Friday and left early Sunday morning with total charge of $27 Not the cleanest or tidiest carpark but that’s ok. Will be using this location in future.
