Just picked up a packet of lasagna sheets was a layer short from my lasagna sheets I picked up from Cole’s, got home excited to finish it and get in the oven to find that the lasagna sheets are infested with bugs! So upset and disappointed, I have anxiety to take them back and say something as the owner is extremely unpleasant to deal with, I feel sorry for his wife! She is so lovely. Won’t be returning to this store anytime in the future. The owner has been quite nasty towards me in the past and towards other customers in front of me too. Avoid by all means! It’s a shame to say I’d rather go to a big company like Cole’s than use a local shop but I think an option of disappointment or consistency I’d pick consistency, this convenience store is not convenient, it’s a sham!

One thing is that it's overpriced compared to bigger supermarkets, but fair enough - it's hard to compete with them price-wise. And they do have a nice selection of Italian goods. The problem I have is that the whole store is plastered with signs that are downright rude, e.g. "Close the bloody door!!!" on fridges and freezers. Really...? Maybe this is a peculiar sense of humour, but it's seriously off-putting.

I am quite passionate about supporting local shops like this one. I purchased from there several times whilst holidaying in Manly and it was always a pleasant experience. I really like that some of the produce is made by Julia (the manager). I tried and enjoyed all of the following: coffee, Tiramisu, lasagna, cannelloni deserts. They told me they take Mastercard, Visa and EFTPOS and have no minimum amount.
