I attended this church for some time. During my involvement, I experienced public humiliation, including being told I β€œstill had no job” in front of others. I also heard members make negative comments about gay people, which made me uncomfortable. There was strong pressure to evangelise and meet targets, and members who didn’t meet expectations were criticised. This environment affected my wellbeing negatively. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision. On behalf of my family: I strongly condemn this church. I seriously doubt whether you are true believers of God, but you have indeed caused my son to suffer from PTSD, panic attacks and severe anxiety for years. As a result of the spiritual control he once endured at your hands, he has been unable to free himself ever since. He has developed many serious physical symptoms, including radiating pain along the spinal nerves, intermittent abdominal muscle spasms, and conjunctival edema. He was once a healthy, bright young man with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UNSW. Yet during the most precious years of his life, he was forced to drop out of his PhD program. Even after finally finding a job with gr

Great church and culture that follows the Bible entirely, with a focus on building a deep relationship with God. I love how they never put anything above the Bible!

CAUTION: CULT-LIKE CHURCH TARGETING UNI STUDENTS. Joe and others who I'd met some years ago were kind. After visiting for a few sermons, I'd already heard much about giving everything to God (to the church) as a condition to enter heaven. This is false teaching. The cheers and amens during sermons felt very uncomfortable, as if the members had been brainwashed. Please heed my warning and other similar warnings. A good and honest church wouldn't have such comments with so many likes and reactions on Google.

The arrogance of their Church is astounding, they really believe that unless you’re a member of their Church and do the things that they do, you can’t be saved. Even if they won’t outright say this they’ll imply it and use the Bible to guilt trip and manipulate you into thinking you need to be with them to be saved / a Christian. Please do your research on the history of their Church if you’re thinking about joining, and prepare for a counterpoint to everything you raise if you talk to them about it

Visiting the International Christian Church (Sydney) was an experienceβ€”kind of like stepping into a regular church, but with the unsettling undertone of a high-pressure sales pitch. I had the pleasure of meeting Jessie Cross and Dr. Joe Willis (though I’m fairly certain his doctorate is as real as Monopoly money). At first, everything felt warm and welcomingβ€”plenty of handshakes, friendly smiles, and that classic "you're one of us now" energy. But things took a turn when I realized my spiritual journey apparently required a sizable donation. The sermon was less about faith and more about finance, with a strong emphasis on the joys of tithing (read: emptying your wallet). Then came the real kicker: I was encouraged to either convert or cut ties with my family. Better yet, I was lovingly informed that they were doomed to eternal damnation unless I, the newly enlightened, saved them. No pressure, right? It’s a shame, really. A tight-knit community could do a lot of good, but the cult-like undertones here are impossible to ignore. If you’re after a genuine place of worship, you might want to try one where your net worth isn’t tied to your salvation.

Visited here while travelling from another country- Incredibly loving church. Was pleasantly surprised by their strong convictions on the bible! They also help to setup personal bible studies upon request, completely free of charge which was great. After church most of the uni students head over to a gaming cafe to play video games together which I found super encouraging. 10/10 would visit again!

I've been with this church for ten years now. It has been incredible! The teachings at this church have helped me to grow as a person in my schooling, relationships and life skills. I never knew Christ, but now I know God so deeply! I am grateful for God giving me this wonderful spiritual family.
