Hands down one of the best chocolate croissants I’ve ever had in Sydney! The ham and cheese croissants are also to die for, and the coffee is consistently amazing. Everything is always so fresh, and the quality never disappoints. Such a gem in Bondi Junction!

Walked into Cook and Baker at 9:03am. Walked out at 4:17pm with a profound fear of spoons. The barista looked directly into my soul and whispered "the pigeons know" before handing me a latte that contained what I can only describe as memories. I ordered scrambled eggs. What arrived was a single Lego brick balanced on a slice of toast while distant accordion music played from somewhere inside the walls. Halfway through my meal, a man in a trench coat emerged from the bathroom carrying a live pumpkin and everyone clapped except me. The waiter shook his head disappointedly. The café's resident goose, Gerald, challenged me to a duel over ownership of a blueberry muffin. I lost. At one point the floor began breathing. The coffee tasted exactly like the year 2007. I asked for the bill and was handed a map of Tasmania with several locations circled in red. I still don't know if I've paid. Would not recommend unless you're a cryptid, an interdimensional traveler, or the physical embodiment of tax fraud.

Understaffed, food served cold. There was one person taking orders, making coffees, warming up food, and serving outdoor tables. The understaffing is affecting customer service - while I was there, a customer requested their coffee be remade as it was wrong. My food was served cold in the centre and lukewarm around the edges even though the staff put it in the heater for 6 minutes. Staff did the best they could given the circumstances

I have been coming here for years, originally for their delicious cheesecake, but in more recent years, usually with my mum for a coffee and sandwhich. The bread is made in-house and maybe even with love? Haha no seriously this place has my full recommendation, the staff eg Grace, Luke etc are terrific and I always look forward to a "well-toasted" tomato, cheese and boccocini toastie...or the cheese & pickle toastie....or the new margaherita ciabatta 😊 Also, the prices have risen a bit over the years, but are still fair, especially for the takeaway food items. & whilst it can get busy of a morning, it's never overbearing and the place always has a great vibe. Having been a PT for decades now, at nearby Centennial Park, as well as at a gym in the Junction, it makes me happy to know that this place exists 🙏
