I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent visit to the Westpac branch. At times, the service felt unstructured, and certain interactions were not as comfortable as expected. In comparison with CBA and ANZ branches in Chatswood, the service here could be improved, particularly in handling routine requests in a more efficient and courteous manner. I hope the branch will consider reviewing its service approach to enhance the customer experience! The one in charge app phone call is terrible, worst service, suspense client account ! Terrible customer service, horrible communication! Worst bank ever !

Kevin is the worst banker in the branch. With terrible customer service. He was assigned to my mother after she waited 1 hour. And then kicked her out after 5 minutes after half heartly attempting to resolve the issue. She had to wait 2.5 hrs before served again and she simply asked for some water and was denied by the teller saying they do not have any. This is inhumane. How would you feel if your mother was treated like this? This is an egregious act of negligence and incompetence by the entire branch. Do not come here if you value your time and money.

I have been back to this branch 3 times to fix and error one of the clerks did regarding an estate account. I was asked to sit and wait. Other customers came and went. Finally, the bank closed (over an hour of waiting). I returned to the queue and asked where I was in the queue. He said last and the people who could help me had all gone home. This is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I feel this branch is sexist, racist and ageist. I will be moving my accounts to a more respectful bank.

Today before 11am, we attended regarding my mother’s account. I was told I could not translate for her and that we had to wait for a Mandarin-speaking staff member. We agreed. We waited two hours. During that time, we checked with staff three times and were told each time that we were “next.” After being told we were next, we still waited over an hour with no update. Eventually, the staff member we were waiting for could not even be located. Chatswood has a high Mandarin-speaking population. The demand for Mandarin service should be anticipated and properly managed. If support is limited, customers should be given accurate waiting times instead of repeated assurances. Based on this experience, I would not recommend overseas visitors or temporary visa holders to open an account or rely on in-branch services here if language support is required.

Extremely disappointing experience at Westpac Chatswood. I reported multiple fraudulent transactions on my card and urgently needed help, yet both the staff and the manager refused to assist, repeatedly saying they were “from a different department”. They would not even call the support line for me, despite the fact that more unauthorised charges were still happening. Their attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Not long after leaving the branch, another $200 was taken from my account. This branch urgently needs proper training on customer support and fraud response.
