Eating out in Australia ranges from beachside takeaways to hatted dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. If you have dietary needs, most kitchens will adapt a dish if you ask. Licensed venues serve alcohol; BYO places let you bring a bottle for a small corkage fee. Tipping is appreciated but never expected.

Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–4 pm. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The lady at the counter for the visitor center was extremely helpful. She was able to tell us about a great walking tour through the woods of the quarantine station. Unfortunately the weather turned suddenly and we had to cut the walk tour short, but we were able to get beautiful views of the harbour as well as see some of the natural fauna in the bush, including some white flowers that were in bloom. Had a chocolate croissant with almonds on top from the cafe part of the center, was pretty good. The water bottles were fresh and cold. Recommended for a short hiking tour! Just check the weather before you go. ☺️

Must do when you are visiting the Quarantine Station in Manly. There are some great displays with lots of information about the Quarantine Station and what a big part it played with health of new passengers into Sydney. As you walk through you can see that as the world was having pandemics The Quarantine Station was there to stop it's entrance into Sydney. #LetsGuide #manly #northhead #Sydney #Australia
