Finally got to talk to the ato, she told me to hold the line while she accessed the document, I waited 15 min and then was advised her computer was lagging, so I was put on hold for another 15min then she hung up. Terrible service, zero accountability.

Rang today their machine bots said due to high call volume, cannot answer goodby. Ppl have no value for them at all, but money is. Shame on taxation's office. Looked to see they have an office in Penrith, but no public access. The government has lost touch, now we are all dealing with bots and they are all is a waist time and money. This is well and truly disgusting for elderly ppl to be treated like this. They are telling ppl to jump on line and solve your problems, when it comes to money they are there to take it and chase you around and penalise ppl, but when you have enquires they have no one to talk.

I was in a very difficult situation, so I called. However, the service agent did not listen to me at all, and she(ATO) talked one-sidedly, before suddenly hanging up when I tried to speak. I’m astonished at the level of disrespect, is this the standard of service ATO wants to provide?

Received a letter in the mail saying that I owe the ATO over 5k for what? I know nothing about it nor someone has used my details including my name and that, and I can't do anything about it! And they are wanting to sue me for not paying it? I'm in financial hardship for the past 15 years. I need a email for me to send a complaint about because this is beyond a joke!

I have never managed to speak to an actual person by calling. My tally of waiting on the phone sits at eight or nine hours . The main phone number is always busy and all other numbers IF i get through at all go onto call waiting - anything from forty minutes upwards of waiting - only for the call to be mysteriously dropped. Going in is better at least. Waiting in the office will get your existence acknowledged and the staff are nice but still our claim was bungled for WEEKS before we got any help. We were down to our last scraps of money and had been in every day for a week. God help you if you have mobility, extreme anxiety or fatigue issues, I can only imagine how hard it would be then! Which is ironic really since people with disabilities or problems are meant to be HELPED by this system. Get it together centrelink!
