Avoid at all costs - extreme overreach! I’ve never experienced anything like this in my 20 years of banking. Bank Australia ignores standard ID laws in favour of a process, that led to an invasive "verification" process that took me nearly an hour. Even with a passport in hand & standard two forms of ID on me, they demanded "secret codes" and forced me to answer a quiz about my transactions from years ago. It’s a total digital nightmare disguised as "safety." The staff are tied to ridiculous policies that disrespect the customer's time and privacy. To put this in perspective: I went to another bank today to close an account, and the entire process took 90 seconds. Bank Australia, on the other hand, treats their loyal customers like suspects. They overreach, spy on your history, and hide behind "policy" to make simple banking impossible. I’m closing all my accounts and never looking bac, moving my business to a bank that actually understands service. 1 star is too many.

Useless customer service - transfer of money xmas eve as gift. Only to Find out declined as “suspected fraud” called number to hear recorded message you are 69th in cue , held for 20 mins and called disconnected . Used your secure email in app still unable to resolve . Do what any normal bank does have app to authenticate transactions to stop this useless and time consuming business practice and also have call back facility like any other bank do so customer not left with no way to resolve critical banking issues. I will be closing my accounts.

Bank Australia's hold track is unbelievably bad. It has so many pre recorded voice messages that there are voice messages interrupting voice messages. It also has these annoying pauses before them all that makes you feel like every message could be an actual person. Physically exhausting. Then On top of this, I spent two hours on hold at 11am on a Monday. She was pretty nice though. Thinking of changing banks so I don't have to listen to that hold music.

Amazing experience with Bank Australia today! Voula is a lovely staff member who has dedicated her time to go through everything with me although I was making a late visit to the branch for a transaction issue. I can see Bank Australia has a significant devotion for a secure banking, so make sure you remember all your personal details to have a full customer satisfaction!
