Worst banking experience we’ve ever had. Opening a credit card online was simple, but closing it has been an absolute nightmare. It feels like they intentionally make the process difficult so you can’t leave. You cannot close your account online (something every major bank allows). Instead, you’re forced to call, wait in long queues, and even then the customer service team can’t close it themselves — they have to “request” it from their credit team. There’s no confirmation, no email, no notification, nothing to show when or if the account was actually closed. And if you need a closure letter or statement urgently, customer service just tells you to visit a branch, which defeats the whole purpose of online banking. Overall, a frustrating, outdated, and customer‑unfriendly process. I would not recommend this bank to anyone.

Not enough of these branches in Western Sydney. Either Parramatta or Nt Richmond our only option for Penrith region

I experienced very poor service during my recent visit to the branch for a credit card application. I was initially informed that the application would be actioned the next day. However, I had to continually follow up, only to be told later that it would take an additional four weeks due to staff shortages. This lack of communication and delay was disappointing and far from the level of service expected.

I had a very disappointing experience with this bank. The customer service is extremely slow and unhelpful, and I often had to wait a long time just to get a simple response. Their online banking system is outdated and crashes frequently, making it very frustrating to complete basic transactions. Fees are high and not always transparent, and I felt like I was being charged for every little thing. Overall, I do not recommend this bank to anyone looking for reliable and professional service.

This branch gave me excellent customer service. The loans manager came in on her day off just to sign my paperwork before purchase. The bank teller was extremely helpful and even called me some weeks later to see if I needed any further help. The mortgage broker on the other hand was abysmal. She would never call me back and called me to abuse me after my loan was approved. But as a review on this branch I give them a 5 star rating.
