Part of Western Sydney Local Health District. Serving the community of Western Sydney. Services available. Wound care, palliative care, supportive, chronic and complex health, mental health, refugee health. Allied health services such as dietician, physio, speech pathology, social works also available. Services also available to first nation.

Had a positive experience at my appointment with the midwife. She was nice and gentle and did a thorough exam of my baby.

My father used their wound dressing services from 2016-2021. He passed away in 2021 and had many different nurses turn up and they wouldn't ring to say when they would turn up which would leave me, who wasn't trained to tend to his wound dressings. He ended up dying of sepsis nothing was reported to Westmead hospital during those last few days. My mum is currently referred to them for a wound dressing and we weren't aware as it wasn't discussed before mum was being discharged. The nurse who attends Quakers Hill area doesn't ring 24hrs before coming to see us which is a problem as we could have doctors appointments. The nurse dictates to us what to do, even though we've been through this stuff with dad. She told me today 12/12/23, that she organised a COPD nurse to teach mum how to breath so she wouldn't end up in hospital. How will teaching mum how to breath help as she could have fluid in the lungs and the ventolin wouldn't work? I'm not impressed with Blacktown Community Health and to me it seems like a waste of taxpayers money for a service which needs significant improvement.

Was never referred to a mothers group after the birth of my baby and their main concern seemed to be that I wasn’t able to breastfeed.
