I had a consultation with Dr Patrick Versace to discuss laser eye surgery, and unfortunately it left me feeling disappointed and lacking confidence in the practice. I was hoping to receive clear guidance on which procedure would be the most appropriate for my eyes, but I left feeling that no recommendation had been made. When I asked detailed questions about the expected outcomes of LASIK versus SMILE, the answers were vague and didn’t provide enough information for me to make an informed decision. Whilst the support staff were lovely and welcoming, Patrick did not make me feel welcomed, listened to, or supported in making what is a significant medical decision. I was also disappointed by the lack of transparency around costs. At no point during the consultation were consultation fees or eye scan costs discussed with me before they were performed. I believe patients should be informed of these costs upfront so they can make an informed decision. Overall, I left with less confidence than when I arrived. Recently I have had cataract eye surgery with Dr Patrick Versace in both eyes 2 weeks apart. Dr Versace explained everything very clearly and made me feel very comfortable at all times. Prior to the operation I couldn't really see anything out of my left eye, everything was completely blurred, and my right eye compensated but my vision was very poor. The surgery was painless and extremely professional in every way. Then I used eye drops for the next 5 weeks. I had some small discomfort for maybe 24 hours after surgery but then that disappeared and everything was fine. Now my vision is amazing...I have superb distance vision (even better than 20/20), no need at all for glasses to drive for the first time in 30 years I still need glasses to read small print close up but that is fine by me I recommend Dr Patrick Versace to everyone needing eye surgery> He is a great doctor and his staff are all amazing also Thanks very much Doctor :) :)

The Bondi eye doctors are a really great team. I had lasik on my left eye and the results have been very good. The options and advice given to my by the team has been very good. I have been able to make informed decisions and understand what the benefits and risks are. The day of surgery went well and overall the experience is really good. The actually process is painless and the procedure is quick. I would recommend the team if you are wanting to correct your vision.
