While the overall bookstore atmosphere is lovely, I was quite uncomfortable to see books and illustrations addressing LGBTQ+ themes prominently featured right opposite the children's section (for ages 3-10) and on the main display window. It would be much more appropriate to relocate these materials away from the children's area and into the adult book section. ​Frankly speaking, the way these items are displayed feels quite inappropriate for families. Considering children's emotional well-being and development, I strongly believe such topics should be kept entirely out of children's sight until they reach the age of 18.

I was quite uncomfortable with the way some books covering sexuality and LGBTQ+ themes were displayed and easily accessible to young children. I have no issue with anyone’s sexual orientation, but I do believe age-appropriate content and clearer categorisation matter, especially in a bookstore frequently visited by children and families. I hope the store will reconsider how these books are displayed and provide clearer age guidance.

Such a fantastic selection of books. The store itself has a great vibe, really visually beautiful, so nice to just spend time browsing through all the rows. SO glad to have such a great bookshop in Chatswood! Lovely knowledgeable staff too!

While much smaller than the CBD store, it’s packed with a great range of books, stationery, and gifts.

Kinokuniya store in Chatswood - amazing I would say this is the best book store in Chatswood. However only reason I would rate it 4 and not 5 stars is the selection of books is smaller than the city store. Specifically their selection of Japanese language books is very limited- the city store is much more extensive in that respect. It would be amazing if they expanded it a bit more. Outside of that very friendly staff, excellent vibe. Highly recommended.
