Thu 25 Sep, 7:41 PM, Dear BWS Customer Care Team, I am writing to share a disappointing experience from a recent visit to one of your stores. The staff member who served me did not ask if I wanted a bag, did not thank me for my purchase, and closed the transaction with a dismissive “done.” His body language and expression suggested frustration or hidden anger, which made the interaction uncomfortable. A smile is optional, but basic courtesy is not. At minimum, customers should be offered a bag and acknowledged with a simple “thank you” or “enjoy your day.” These gestures are not luxuries; they are fundamental to customer service. I want to be clear—BWS is not a luxury boutique selling Louis XIII or Dalmore. It is a retailer of everyday items, mostly beer, wine, and spirits that ordinary people purchase daily. Your stores exist because professionals from all walks of life—law, medicine, finance, hospitality—choose to spend their money with you. For that reason, staff should not act as though serving customers is beneath them or as if they own the Woolworths Group. I did not choose BWS out of necessity; I happened to be near Westfield and could have gone to Dan Murphy’s instead

21/9/2023 Time- 7:30 to 8:15 That guy in that counter was a demon in human’s body. Inhumanly customer service. I had a sudden terrible stomach pain while I came to grab some beer in this store and suddenly it became worse and I was down on my knees begging for help on the floor.I’m not expecting a grand customer service but at-least as a human being when someone asks for a water or some help in that horrible situation, is this how you treat customers. Check your cameras if you don’t believe me. That guy working in this roster is not a human. Later I came back and apologised from my side when I felt better but mate hope he suffers the same thing I did someday. As a BWS customer for years, is it how customers are for you guys??

I don't frequent this store, unlike the Woolies next door, but I've never had a bad experience here. It's small but well laid out and I've had good luck with specials here. Also I've found the staff I've interacted with (and obviously I can't vouch for all the staff, just the ones I've met), to be not only friendly but also knowledgeable - happy to try to help you find alternatives if you can't find what you were looking for, or make recommendations based on what you enjoy (without being pushy at all, just chatty); pleasant surprise compared to many bottle-o staff to whom it's just a job and know next to nothing about the products
