Very pristine reserve on the way to shelly beach. Lots of brush turkeys nearby, they run around like mini theropods.

Cabbage Tree Bay in Manly, Sydney, is a protected marine area known for its rich sea life, scenic views, and activities like swimming, snorkelling, and diving. A beautiful, easy 15-20 minute coastal walk (Shelly Beach Eco Sculpture Walk) runs from Manly Surf Club to Shelly Beach, offering great views along the way. The flat track is suitable for all ages and wheelchairs, with cafes, shops, and facilities nearby. You can reach it from Manly Beach or by ferry to Manly Wharf, and even continue to a lookout for stunning views of the Northern Beaches. My fav place to relax!! Must visit! ❤️❤️👍✌️

Such a lovely spot had such a nice relaxing walk with my daughter and boyfriend plenty of cafes and shops in the area and lovely beach.wow! P.s and plenty of lizards!

I had an absolute blast of Sunday fun exploring the marine fauna and flora of the Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve! This perfectly sheltered reserve offers a plethora of sea lifes of diverse forms. The reserve also has friendly information boards here and there so you can properly learn about what you see without much prep. Just come with the snorkeling goggle and tube (and the blade is a big plus!) I've seen a few massive male blue gropers, schools of mados, ludericks, quite a few crimsonband wrasses (both male and female), silver batfish and plenty more! I swam through the forests of golden kelps and saw a colony of long spined sea urchins! This beginner friendly reserve offers everything and more snorkellers of all levels expect to enjoy. Come take a dip, I guarantee you you'll fall deeply in love with this underwater world!
