I recently visited Shelly Headland Upper Lookout in Manly, and it was absolutely worth the trip! The walk up to the lookout was easy and enjoyable, with beautiful coastal views along the way. I even spotted a few water dragons basking in the sun, which made the experience even more special. Once I reached the lookout, I was blown away by the stunning panoramic view of the ocean. The blue water stretching endlessly into the horizon was breathtaking, and I could have stayed there for hours just soaking it all in. It’s the perfect spot for photography, relaxation, or even a quiet moment to appreciate nature. After taking in the views, I walked down to Shelly Beach, which is just nearby. The calm, clear water was perfect for a refreshing swim, and there were plenty of people snorkeling and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. If you’re visiting Manly, I highly recommend stopping by Shelly Headland Upper Lookout. It’s a fantastic place to unwind and take in some of Sydney’s best coastal scenery!

This is the best place to visit and experience. A lifetime experience a 10 min walk from car park. You can go higher and hike longer if you want. Magnificent spots to take pictures.

This place is much more beautiful than the actual beach itself. Quieter and gives a breathtaking view of the sea and waves. This is just beside the car parking space. There are multiple spots to sit down (or stand) and enjoy the scenic beauty. Checkout my photos to see who we spotted there.

Really nice lookout! Can get up easily in 5-10 minutes from Shelly Beach (which is a cool little area itself). Just requires a bit of uphill walking, but I was able to manage fine in flip flops. Beautiful views of Manly from here, and of course you can also turn around and look out on the Pacific Ocean. It wasn't very busy - while there are quite a few tourists in Manly, I don't think many know of this spot. Would highly recommend making this a stop when you explore Manly and the North Head. And I'm sure at certain times of the year you can see whales from this lookout - unfortunately we weren't here at the right time...
